The team at Folkes from the initial phone call to Wanda to John's expert work at our home was wonderful!
Noah had been going for 16 hours, but was cheerful and dove right in. He was able to diagnose and make repairs in short order.
Tech was efficient and replaced a few parts on the furnace as it was running rough and rich. Should be all good now
Scott was understanding and compassionate about my family’s situation. He was able to get to the root of the issue and we will hopefully be getting repairs after getting our estimate. Thanks you!
It was the coldest night of the year. The heating system stopped working and the temperature dropped to a dangerously low level inside our home. Folkes responded to my call and Tony, their technician showed up on time as promised. His diagnostic approach was meticulous. His demeanor was reassuring. He found the faulty part in about 20 minutes. Replacement was available on his truck. He got the heating back and rechecked the system to make sure everything worked well.
JERMAINE AND JOHNNY WERE GREAT. COURTEOUS, PROFESSINAL AND EFFICIENT.
Folks is responsive, and communicative. They arrived for an emergency visit prepared to diagnose and fix the issue. Always very professional!
Need to return cannot get pressure to stay below 20 with boiler not running. Attempted to replace feeder and new feeder is also bringing pressure to over 20 before boiler is even operating. Customer mentioned the town increased water pressure which may be causing issue. In order to give customer heat for the night I left valve for main water for boiler in off position and left boiler pressure at 15 pre operation. Let it run through a full cycle and pressure did not increase. Need to return tomorrow to figure out boiler pressure issue.
Service for no water. Arrived to find that there is no pressure in the system. Noticed that the breakers were off. Shut the isolation valve to the home and turned the power back on. There is proper 230 volts throughout the system and the system comes up to 50 psi and shuts off like it supposed to. Customer thought the breaker in the up position was on, but the breakers were installed upside down a long time ago when they were originally put in. The system is working the way it should, it was just a matter of the breaker being off. Since we were already here, we ran diagnostics on the system. The well pump motor is showing signs of wearing down. It is a 1/2 hp, 230 volt pump at an unknown depth. The well casing is buried below the grade. Advised the customer that the well should be extended to 18†above the grade and have a water tight well cap on it to help stop debris from getting down into the well. Recommend installing a compression coupling and pitiless adapter so we can extended
Found possible leak or crack at hydro unit. Could not get into room w hydro, check video, about 4-6†of water in crawl space. Could not get into it due to water. For now I shut off hydro zone that comes off of water heater so atleast customer can have hot water at faucets. We need to return w plumbers to pump out water in order to perform repairs.

Found busted baseboard upon arrival for (great room). Replaced , filled and drained boiler. Tested operation. Once all zones were purged and boiler was purged I turned boiler on. Let boiler reach 180degrees. Then noticed a strong odor of electrical burning or melting. Found circulator pump for kids bedroom scorching hot to the touch. Replaced and tested further operation. Boiler is now running normal and all zones both return and supply are hot. Recommend to add antifreeze into system to further prevent more pipes from freezing and bursting. Customer is thinking about replacement.

Customer had no heat in home, said thermostat not communicating, thermostat is old but turned it up and heard blower trying to start but moving very slow, system has a bad blower motor, system is very small so our universal motors wouldn’t work, we can see if motor is still available but unit is from 1980 so more than likely not, if we can try and see if it is if not customer is going to need a new unit, will need to follow up,with customer in the morning. Mail, invoice to customer.
Customer stated his issue was that the home is reading set temp on thermostat (70degrees) but the home still felt cold, explained to customer in detail that the problem is not the furnace but how well the home is insulated, also suggested if it still feels cold in home to increase the temp on thermostat. Did a evaluation on furnace just to make sure the unit was running correctly also replaced air filter as a courtesy. As per Tyler no diagnostic charge.
1/2†pipe cracked in laundry room. Spoke with dj and plumber will be out tomorrow. Customer already had main water shut off to stop leak.
