He was very nice, neat, and knowledgeable.
Our unit stopped emitting hot air yesterday. I spent most of yesterday and today trying to find someone to repair it. The dispatcher said she would try and get someone out today and she did, despite how busy Folkes and other area providers. My wife, who hates to be cold, is quite happy!
Scott was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The service person was extremely professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. While the service person was here, I requested he take a look at my air conditioner (inoperable) and he did. There the service man made a determination that there was no power coming through to my air conditioner. I was directed to speak to a licensed electrician for they individual to look at my air conditioner. I was extremely delighted with the great service received from Folkes.
Great, dependable service! Scott was polite, professional and personable.
Folkes Heating and Cooling Company is the best. I trust them to service my furnace and AC every year, for the past 8 years. They are dependable and do an excellent job keeping my aging furnace in great condition. Scott was the service technician and he did an outstanding job servicing the furnace and reviewing his findings along with a printout.
You guys charge way too much for your parts. You definitely price gouge on parts.
Customer stated furnace wouldn’t come on, home was set to 72 put thermostat to 75 and didn’t hear a click from thermostat, turned thermostat all the way up and furnance kicked on, ohms reading at 470, let furnance run until fan limit kicked in which was at 150 blower came on, after letting furnace run pulled nozzle assembly out and electrodes are very burnt back would recommend changing them, also cad cell eye very brown, and burner head was dirty cleaned everything up put it back together and furnace fired up and stayed running, furnace really just needs a good cleaning and put together estimate for parts that should be changed.

C/S Gas. Wiped down dust and debris off unit. Cleaned burners. Checked pressure. Went over all components. Performed combustion test and placed results on service tag. Recommend replacing expansion tank, air vent, relief valve, and zone valve for kitchen zone, customer declined repairs. System is currently running normally.
System operational, customer stated two zones not getting any heat, checked zones valves and found no issues, checked thermostats and noticed thermostats were not set up correctly, adjusted, tested heat in both zones and system was operational. No issues to report.
Arrived to diagnose the issue of the condenser coming on with no call for cooling. Jumped the thermostat out and found that I had no 24v power. The transformer was bad. After replacing the transformer had voltage but did not get the zone valve to open. Found they had the two legs of the zone valve wired to R and W when it should have been wired to C and W. Webber replaced the zone valve just before my arrival and stated it was bad even though it was just wired incorrectly at the air handler. Once I got the zone valve wired I found the thermal sequencer was not turning fan on, replaced and tested the system. Once I put the thermostat back on the wall, only the outdoor unit would run in heat. The customer needs to order a new thermostat there is an issue internally with it. No other issues to report at this time. System is operational.
Customer has a steam boiler, the return side of boiler has a 12 inch black nipple that has a hole in it, the only problem is pipe is fused to boiler jacket which means there would be no way of getting pipe out, boil is 35-40 years old, recommended to replace steam boiler will need to follow up with customer to set up estimate with them.
No heat, heat pump. Arrived and found error code 31 on thermostat for high pressure switch fault. Reset unit and everything came back on. Took pressures, which seemed normal, and let unit satisfy at thermostat, after satisfying thermostat, I set thermostat temperature higher to allow unit to come back on and run again, system satisfied unit 2nd. Customer did purchase 2 high pressure sensors from NS himself, customer stated if issue comes back he will call office to get pricing to replace high pressure sensors.

Advised the customer that they can call this week to schedule if they know all the materials and stove will be ready for install.
Boiler display had 8888 on it, customer had lost power and when power came on boiler did not fire, reset boiler, tested, system operational, checked hot water and heat. As per DJ no diagnostic charge.
Found second-floor zone valve was stuck closed. Replaced zone valve motor head and ball valve. Tested 2 heating zones and indirect water heater zone. All three returns were coming back hot, let unit run for about 15 minutes. System operational.

Heat coming up through radiators due to heat migration, boiler has to heat up to supply heat for hot water coil, but supply line does not have flow check valve installed which is causing heat to flow up into home and at radiators, customer stated he will have the company who installed the boiler to install part.
Service for leak under the kitchen sink. Noticed that the basket strainer is cracked, and there is signs of leaking from the nylon gaskets on the p trap. The main issue is that the under mount sink leaks between itself and the counter top. Recommend cleaning of the sludge, and water proofing the seams around the sink. Will also install a new basket strainer as well as nylon gaskets. Replaced the basket strainer. Replaced the gaskets in the p trap. Siliconed around the inside and outside of the under mount sink. The faucet has a slow leak that comes out from around the base and makes it difficult to silicone when there is water moving. Shut the valves off to the faucet until the caulk dries in 24 hours. Advised the customer that the caulk cannot get wet until tomorrow afternoon and that the faucet needs to be replaced. He knows this and will pick out a faucet for us to return and install. Provided a price for installing the new faucet. Cleaned the work area, collected signatures and pa
