Service diagnostic found that the system was low on refrigerant. I also found the outdoor capacitor is below value. The outdoor contactor and fan motor are also showing signs of wear and tear. I went over my findings with the homeowners and presented repair options. They chose to have refrigerant added to the system and replace the outdoor capacitor. I added 2lb 3 oz of refrigerant and performed a leak search on the system. No leak was found on the system at this time. I did replace the Schrader cores just to be safe. The indoor coil is very rusted as well but no leaks were found. I also replaced the outdoor capacitor and cycled power at the thermostat. The system is operational at completion of service.
