Performed heater tune-up on an American Standard heat pump system. Checked the electrical, mechanical and performance systems of the unit. Cleared, cleaned, flushed and treated the drain line and cleaned the exterior of the air handler. Replaced air filters with homeowner supplied filters. Secured outdoor compressor wiring and washed the outdoor coil. I did find there is no water safety switch on the secondary pan. The indoor coil is rusted out and prone to a refrigerant leak. The outdoor starter is pitted at the contacts. No other issues were found. All UV lights are on and working. The system is operational at this time.
