We had two air conditioners ran to ground in the middle of heat wave. Called several companies, including Costco’s contractor. It turned out Grand Comfort gave a very reasonable price, did not over sell “high end high seer rating” which we really appreciated. I googled the product “American standard” they recommended, they were really good choice! The sales person Rafael was very polite and trustworthy. The installation was overall smooth: they took time since two air conditioners in one household needed less time than two jobs on two sites. They started at around 10, but did not finish until after 5. Maybe because of that, they did not change humidifier controls on the wall after replacing two humidifiers in basement first. The old controls looked very yellow and decayed, so I asked them to put on new ones that came with the humidifiers. They did it upon my request. Two things I wish they could do better: the outside cooling copper pipes were not insulated, maybe not absolutely needed, but should save some energy if wrapped in theory. Also inside house on sheet metal wall there were a few screw holes and an unattached support arm. I had to find some screws to fill and reattach arm. A few minor things: they did not leave any documentation or even company labeled poster on the basement units, so no one would know we just had two new air conditioners installed. Hopefully I do remember when I sell the house in few years! Another minor thing is the floor was left with some screws etc, I had to sweep it right away after they left. But the two conditioners worked great! And the two installation young men were nice and likable. So, I guess I am getting what I paid for, value product, essential service, but nothing more! I probably would have to pay 10% more for some company that really are “white grove”! Good thing is, I had Rafael responded to my message and also customer service asked me feedback! I am looking forward to the make-up service. If so, I think the minor issues I had were just something young men will be getting better at; or the company will motivate them to improve upon. I will update this review and rating again when there is an update.
