Called service desk Monday morning and got appointment for that day from noon to 1700, was called back and they had tech in area and would be at my place within a few minutes. Arrived and found problem. Went back to shop got part and was back in business. Great job.
Did an excellent job checking out the equipment and explaining things.

Response from Grogg's Home Services:
Thank you for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share your feedback.
Tech kept us informed of his expected arrival time. Knowledgeable and respectful. Great employee.
He was here at the time they said he would be, completed the check and was on his way in a short time & we could go ahead with our day.
Groggs is the Best company everyone is very nice and polite from the owner's all the way down to the ones that get dirty doing the hard work.I bought a heating and cooling unit they had to redo all my ductwork that had rusted holes in it they worked as a team and work went very quickly to get me service .I'm elderly and on a fixed income and they put all of it on a payment plan. And my service plan is on a payment plan also. It all worked great for me I wouldn't recommend any other company. I depend on Grogg's
They techs where very nice and polite but after I asked many times if maybe my duct work had holes or unhooked I was told defiantly not that my system was old and needed replaced. After a short you tube video and tested stuff myself found my blower fan not working up to par 200$ and fixed the duct work that was loose my ac is back and works great they charged me 300$+ would not recommend groggs as they just want to sell you a new unit for 10k plus they told me the fan would be close to a 1000$ to replace fan alone
Shawn took his time, was very thorough in both the inspection and explaining everything,
AC System Repairs: Investigating cooling issues, I cleaned a clogged evaporator coil, enhancing cooling efficiency by promoting better heat exchange within the AC system.
Kitchen Sink Repair: Upon receiving a distressed call from a residential client about a leaking kitchen sink, our skilled technicians promptly assessed the situation. The examination revealed a broken hose nozzle as the culprit behind the leak. Swiftly addressing the issue, our technicians efficiently repaired the sink by replacing the damaged hose nozzle and ensuring a secure connection. This precise repair not only stopped the leak but also prevented potential water damage to the surrounding area. The client now enjoys a fully functional and leak-free kitchen sink, restoring convenience to their daily kitchen activities.
Performed quoted repair and signed up for new maintenance agreement.
Performed maintenance on air handler heat pump system. 16-20-1 filter was still in good condition. Verified working status of Plasma Air. System had proper subcooling and levels looked good. Found extremely weak capacitor and discussed repair option with customer. Replaced capacitor and all other checks were good. Renewed maintenance agreement for another year.
Furnace was throwing pressure switch error code for high and low pressure switches open. Confirmed good pressure switches. Found installer had shoved the vent on over tape and the tape sealed off the vent (see pictures). Removed tape, turned on furnace, no error codes, furnace lit. Checked over cooling operation. Everything is now working as it should. Confirmed operation.
Checked new install system. Previous blower speed adjustments were good. Found txv bulb was installed loose and on the bottom of the suction line. Moved and tightened txv bulb so it can’t move. 20 degree temp drop. Confirmed operation.
Customer said ac was making a bad noise and the coil inside froze up. Found that the capacitor outside is out of range and that the system is low on refrigerant. These issues would cause stress on the compressor outside. Also the low refrigerant caused the coil to freeze up. Most likely cause is that there is a leak in the system. Would need to perform a leak search to find. System is from 2011, out of warranty. Customer opted to not repair anything and get a quote for a new system.
Goodman heat pump low on r410 refrigerant. Corrected charge and verified operation
2018 York 4ton dual fuel heat pump system w/ AA213 filter and using propane gas as emergency heat. All checks good at this time. Customer is confused on exactly what an Extended Labor Warranty does/should cover. Although briefly discussing in person, if a paper copy of what that entails is available he would like one sent out to him please.
Replaced failed capacitor on 13 yr old arcoaire unit. System would benefit from yearly maintenance. Possibility of fan motor going out due to age and capacitor failure. Estimate repair would be $600-900 range. Customer declining maintenance program.
Evap coil was freezing due to an airflow issue on the coil. Fashioned a piece of sheet metal to address the airflow problem and added a pound of refrigerant to the ac unit. System is running with pressure of 117/251 on a 69 degree day with a temperature drop of 21 degrees.
The noise customer had was not present while I was here. Ran system in cooling and heating. Taped up small gap in filter cover to eliminate small whistle noise.
Furnace would make a vibrating/whistling noise with a call for cool, if you take the cover for filter off it stops. Reduced fan speed from high(grey) down to med high(yellow) on cooling speed tap. Also applied some foam insulation tape around gap for filter door.
Performed heating and cooling maintenance on both systems as per agreement. Both systems from 2006, however they are both running and performing well. Good heat and cooling on both, with electrical checks looking good as well. No issues to note at this time, however there has been a history of power issues at this address as well as so burnt wiring. I have attached a quote for added surge protection on both ac units.
