I provided and estimate for a five star electric furnace, honeywell programmable thermostat, and five star 14 seer heat pump.
I found that the blower wheel and housing are both very dirty due to client using a smaller filter than the furnace calls for. The furnace is also oversized for the house. I recommend replacing the 2006 Aire Floe unit and am sending them a quote for replacement.
During tune-up I found that the inducer motor needs replaced. I ordered a Lennox 80% Inducer Motor for customer and will return to install.
Upon arrival 75 in the building, set to 75 on heat. Popped ceiling tiles, no current moisture present. No HVAC related material above watermarked tiles, electrical junction box above one (10 feet above, with a droptile frame wire hanger nearby. Gas line 8” above the other. Possible roof penetration leak. Recommend customer pursue landlord for infrastructure/leak repair.
