I completed a diagnostic. On my arrival I found drain not plugged, drain pan was clear and when I pour water in the drain pan it does drain out and it does not leak elsewhere. When I did remove the cover from the inside unit as soon as I pulled the bottom part out water poured out from the cover on the bottom. I’m not sure if this is something related to the upper part of the coil that drains into a separate channel behind the blower that runs into the coil pan. Will probably have to remove indoor head from the wall to investigate further.

I completed an estimate on a Carrier gas furnace and a Carrier 13 SEER air conditioner.

I completed a diagnostic. On arrival I checked through everything before starting the system up. I observed heavy corrosion at the resistors on the control board. The combustion door was actually on the blower compartment so the blower was pulling in unfiltered air through the louvers in the door that was in the wrong location. The indoor blower is very caked with dirt. The blower capacitor is also weak. Drain is also not currently connected properly for a pull through type coil application. Checked outdoor unit and found the refrigerant charge levels have very strange readings. Superheat is at 18° which is an allowable range. But the suction pressure is very high, as well as the suction line temperature. System pulls return directly through the wall so there is no return ductwork in the attic that would be pulling in hot air. Temperature split is also very poor only about 10°. My best recommendation would be to replace the system. Provided customer with quote for replacement.

I completed the scheduled maintenance agreement cooling tune up on an air conditioner. I visually inspected the unit. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Inspected heat pump. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored system. All operating normally at this time.

I completed a diagnostic. Here for water leaking around furnace. Found condensate drain plugged. Blew out drain with nitrogen. Poured water through to test. System is running and draining properly on departure.

I completed a diagnostic. Here to install attic exhaust fan into existing attic fan housing. I installed a new fan, also wired in a outlet to plug the condensate pump in. Ran one of the wires into the branch box through a connector so the cover panel can be put on properly. Tested condensate pump afterwards.

I completed a diagnostic. I found the condensate pump in attic lost power. I found a bird got stuck in the fan causing the motor to over amp and tripped the breaker. Need to replace the exhaust fan. I ordered the part for the customer. Will replace as soon as part comes in.

I completed a callback service. Here because customer says he replaced the thermostat because the one We installed with furnace was too complicated. The thermostat is set correctly but I found the thermostat part not securely snapped to the back plate, also found three amp fuse blown. I replaced fuse and secured thermostat to back plate and cycled system. Checked refrigerant charge and found it just slightly under charged running at a 27° superheat. Checked 35/5 capacitor which checked out OK. (33.8/4.99) Contacts are starting to get worn. Compressor/fan amps are ok. Customer doesn't want to add refrigerant at this time says everything was running pretty good so he's just going to let it go. System is running on my departure.

I completed a diagnostic on arrival I saw thermostat was at 73 degrees and furnace was locked out on high limit lockout what’s going on is this is a zone system and is a 100kbtu furnace with only runs going into the basement the bypass damper when basement was calling for heat became stuck open causing the return air to skyrocket above 140 degrees causing the high limit to trip. Set thermostats to cooling so this wouldn’t happen again and also manually closed the bypass because it was stuck open. System is pumping 54 degree air out of the vent and is currently on and operational at time of departure.

I completed a callback install. On arrival I found the installers sealed large penetration outside where line set went into the attic with thumb gum which has since fell out leaving a large gap big enough for a bird to get into the attic so I sealed this up with silicone. I found the system not charged correctly. I added refrigerant. System cooling upon departure.

I replaced an aspen condensate pump on a ductless system. I Replaced pump and tested. It is pumping out properly. Everything is working as it should at this time. I did slightly move over the pump a little bit and re-mounted it on the wall about an inch to the right so the drain had more of a straight shot into the drain opening and wouldn’t be pinched off like it was when I found it.
