Responded to no-heat call for Comfort Products Corporation furnace. Diagnosed multiple issues including failed heat exchanger with crack on eyelet and non-functional blower motor causing humming noise and overheating. Unit is 22 years old, significantly beyond typical service life. Previous service was performed approximately one month ago for noise complaints.
Responded to customer complaint of musty odor and suspected water leak under pantry. Upon inspection, identified water damage and mold growth under sink cabinet resulting from improper washing machine drainage. Performed visual assessment of water heater and heating system to rule out additional sources of moisture.
Investigated musty odor reported by customer, inspecting plumbing under pantry and utility room. Examination revealed minor leakage around sink P-trap with evidence of water damage and mold growth on cabinet floor. Identified improper washing machine drainage as contributing factor.
