We were out of town and my 19 year old daughter was home alone, of course this is when our heating and cooling system decides to stop working! I did the google thing and there is Hurlburt, called them and they sent a guy right over, done! I liked that the office lady said all of their technicians are drug and background checked since my daughter was home. We'll be using them in the future.

Responded to a no-heat service call for natural gas furnace displaying error code E227. Upon arrival, unit was found to be operating normally with no current issues. Performed visual inspection of heat exchanger and connection points, confirming all components were intact and functioning properly. No service repairs needed at this time.
Responded to emergency call for overflowing toilet in master bathroom causing flooding. Upon inspection, determined toilet was severely clogged. Offered two solutions: immediate installation of available toilet with larger flush valve or temporary unclogging with recommendation for special ordering a toilet with 4-inch flush valve and wider trapway to prevent future occurrences. Customer opted for temporary resolution and will order specialized toilet for future installation.
Responded to no heat complaint where customer reported thermostat running but insufficient airflow. Diagnosed system was operational but found potential overheating issue with air temperature in ductwork reaching 140-145°F approaching limit switch threshold (160°F). Determined primary cause was restricted airflow due to closed vents throughout bottom floor. Performed system check including drain inspection and flame sensor cleaning. Noted inducer motor exhibiting noise and provided replacement recommendation. Advised customer to keep all vents open and adjust thermostat settings rather than closing vents to maintain proper system operation and reduce stress on blower motor.
Responded to no-heat call for 12-year-old furnace. Diagnosed issue with blower wheel that had detached from blower motor. Replaced blower assembly and wheel due to instability when reinstalled. System now operating with proper heat output. Inspected control board and ductwork to ensure proper functionality.
Responded to service call for burst pipe in basement. Upon assessment, found galvanized fitting had blown off in basement area and identified additional leaks behind shower wall at valve location. Customer declined repair quote and opted to seek alternative service provider.
Responded to no-heat complaint on oil furnace that was in lockout condition. Upon inspection, found nozzle heavily clogged and approximately 1" of standing water in work area. Performed maintenance including nozzle replacement and filter replacement, noting non-standard filter assembly configuration. After initial service, unit continued to exhibit same symptoms. Tested CAD cell with no improvement. Diagnosed need for primary control replacement; parts ordered for follow-up service.
Replaced customer-supplied 40-gallon electric Rheem Performance water heater due to rust damage on the bottom of the original unit. New installation completed with all necessary plumbing connections and properly positioned on a drain pan in the utility area.
Responded to no-heat complaint on furnace #3, which was reported as non-operational for the third service call in three weeks. Upon arrival, inspected both furnaces in the mechanical room and found furnace #3 operating normally. Monitored the unit for 20 minutes to verify proper function, checked condensate drain for blockages and confirmed filter was clean. No operational issues identified. Customer advised to report any recurrence.
Responded to no heat call for 25-year-old natural gas furnace. Diagnostic testing revealed system failure with error code 4 (open limit switch). Visual inspection identified cracks exceeding one inch in the heat exchanger, excessive play in the blower wheel with out-of-spec capacitor, and overheating inducer motor. Due to multiple critical safety issues, the unit was red-tagged and customer was advised to consider replacement options.
Responded to no-heat call for 4-year-old LP furnace. Diagnosed low flame signal issue where furnace ignites but flames quickly extinguish. Gas pressure testing revealed adequate 11.5" WC pressure to valve before ignition that drops to near zero post-ignition. Suspected regulator failure with tank at 37% capacity. Advised homeowner to contact propane company for regulator replacement.
Responded to no-heat call for 1-year-old furnace with intermittent operation. Diagnosed control board issue preventing power to inducer motor during heat call. Visual inspection also revealed crack in heat exchanger on classic train spot, documented with photos. Provided homeowner with repair options and scheduled follow-up for potential furnace replacement due to safety concerns.
Performed scheduled maintenance on 2-year-old FRP furnace. Completed comprehensive tune-up including inspection of heat exchanger (no compromises found), verification of electrical components within specifications, and confirmation of clear routine lines. System operated properly during 15-minute test run with appropriate gas pressures and 75-degree temperature rise. Noted humidifier pad was clean but air filter requires replacement; customer will order replacement filter separately.
Responded to customer's no-heat call for a 20-year-old Gibson LP furnace with suspected igniter failure. Previous technician had removed the original igniter, making exact replacement difficult. Although alternative hot rod igniter options were available through Bluon that could be adapted to work with existing mounts, customer preferred waiting for exact replacement part. Provided estimate for correct igniter replacement and informed customer about Monday availability for ordering the part.
Successfully installed new electric heating element for zone 1 and replaced control board as scheduled. Electrical connections were verified at the circuit breaker panel, ensuring proper power supply to the newly installed components.
Responded to emergency service call for toilet leaking and flooding bathroom. Diagnosed failed wax seal and broken closet flange causing water to escape from base during flushing. Replaced damaged closet flange and installed new wax ring, successfully resolving the leak.
