Responded to water stain in powder bathroom ceiling caused by leaking second-floor shower drain. Created access hole in affected ceiling, removed faulty compression-style drain assembly, and installed new two-piece shower drain assembly. Performed testing to verify proper function and resolution of the leak.
Performed scheduled furnace tune-up and comprehensive inspection on 10-year-old unit. Diagnostic testing with Testo 310 II analyzer revealed combustion parameters within acceptable range, but identified critical issues including failing inducer motor and ignitor. Inspection of heat exchanger showed significant damage with visible leakage points, indicating imminent safety hazard. Recommended complete furnace replacement as repair is not viable; existing issues will ultimately compromise AC system function as well.
Responded to emergency call for a kitchen sink drain leak. Upon inspection, discovered the 1.5" poly waste fitting had disconnected from the P-trap assembly. Remediated the issue by properly repositioning the components and securely tightening the nut and washer to restore proper function and eliminate leakage.
Responded to no-heat call for garage-mounted Hot Dawg heater that failed to ignite. Diagnostic inspection revealed complete absence of gas supply to the unit. Recommended customer contact gas company for service as gas line is underground with no visible shutoff valve.
Performed comprehensive furnace tune-up on 12-year-old gas unit. Removed rust and debris from inducer motor housing, verified proper gas manifold pressures on both stages, confirmed safe CO readings, and validated normal thermostat/blower operation. Cleaned condensate trap and drain line, inspected heat exchanger surfaces, and confirmed all components functioning properly. System operating normally with no issues detected. Provided information on rewards program and recommended stocking additional filters.
Replaced leaking 50-gallon Bradford White natural gas power vent water heater. Installation included reconnecting copper supply lines and ensuring proper PVC venting. Existing water treatment system was kept intact during the water heater replacement.
Successfully completed installation of a new 40-gallon water heater with proper copper line connections and expansion tank mounting. Unit was properly secured in utility closet with all required safety components and PVC venting installed to manufacturer specifications.
Replaced two malfunctioning outdoor water spigots and installed two new hose bib shutoff valves to resolve leaking issues. Upgraded the garage hose bib with a new unit, featuring proper insulation on supply lines and blue handled shutoff valves with appropriate labeling for improved functionality and accessibility.
Performed annual tune-up on 9-year-old furnace. Inspected all components and verified proper operation within specifications. Examined ductwork and PVC exhaust/intake piping system - all connections secure with no visible issues detected.
Responded to service call for water heater leak issue. Inspected 2004 model power vent water heater with active leak originating from top seal. Determined unit had a cracked tank with significant deterioration. Provided customer with replacement options for a new LP power vent water heater system.
Responded to service call for AC system over 10 years old with no cooling function. Diagnostic inspection revealed failed capacitor, worn contactor, and deteriorated condenser motor. Replaced all defective components to restore system operation.
The homeowner mentioned the furnace has high Carbon Monoxide levels. I checked over the furnace. I checked the burners, heat exchanger, inducer, blower, limit switches and wiring. I cleaned the burners and checked gas pressures and combustion air. I checked the exhaust flue. The system has Carbon Monoxide reading in the exhaust flue over 350ppm. The system will operate and then shut down on high limit. The heat exchanger has failed. The heat exchanger will need to be replaced. The chimney needs a chimney liner. The system only has return air at the furnace.
Installed new customer supplied toilet, with closet flange in main floor 1/2 bath.
