Bogo maintenance call on a 2014 carrier system. The system is in great shape and performing as it should here today after some routine cleaning and inspection. All capacitors and amp draws look good. The refrigerant levels are good and the filters are clean here today.
Service call for a system not coming on. Technician arrived to find the condensing fan motor running but not the compressor. The dual run capacitor had failed not allowing the compressor to start up. Replaced the capacitor and checked the performance of the system. All amp draws and temperatures are good here today.
Maintenance call on a 1998 Armstrong air ac system. The unit is in poor health. The compressor is drawing high amps while running, the condensing fan motor is over amping, the contactor is looking rough, and the refrigerant is restricted causing the compressor to freeze up. The customer just wants to wait until the unit fails before replacing.

For this job, Technicians performed an A/C tune up on a really old York system. Technicians checked all safety devices and components that are in use during the A/C season. Technicians found the indoor blower motor needs to be cleaned as well as replaced, The Contactor switch needs to be replaced looking pretty rough, The capacitor is reading low, The duct system is super super dirty, Technician also found the heat exchanger on his furnace is looking very scary a lot of possible cracks. Technician does have to turn the gas off to furnace for liability on the heat exchanger being cracked with possible carbon monoxide getting into the house. Technician made several options for repairs. The unit is currently freezing up due to low indoor air flow. Tim will be coming out and to see if he can get approved for a replacement.

Found the blower motor bearings seizing up and the windings weakening causing the blower motor to stop working after the unit runs for awhile. Replaced the blower motor with a universal motor and belly band. Also replaced the blower motor capacitor.
