Refrigerant Customer is aware his system has a leak. System was charged with 1lbs 15oz of R-410A refrigerant. Customer is having the same issue with system loosing refrigerant charge. Customer agreed to adjust R-410A refrigerant. Customer is aware that a follow up is needed in 30-90 days to identify the source of leak. From dye testing that was conducted on 07/22/2025. Inspected system with UV light. Search was inconclusive more time is still required. Customer understand that there’s absolutely no warranty or refunds on lost/ leaked refrigerant. Customer assumes all risks of refrigerant costs until a leak has been identified and repaired fully. It was also explained that there’s no guarantee on how long refrigerant that was added may last. Refrigerant charge was adjusted to normal operation. Low side 135psi / High side 375psi Earlier pressures were found where low side pressure was 95psi / high side 305psi Check temperature split before adjusting refrigerant charge supply 71.7 F deg
Completed a/c maintenance on an old r-22 system this unit is low on refrigerant and needs to be replaced system is past it’s life expectancy and in poor condition. Customer is looking for a project manager to come out to quote a new system replacement. Chemically cleaned evaporator coil. Inspected blower compartment and primary drain pan. Treated and cleared all drain lines,traps and tested all condensate pumps. Brushed and cleaned all electrical cabinets and tighten and secured all electrical connections on both inside and outdoor units. Tested all safety switches all in working condition. Filter was recently replaced 16x25x1 Chemically cleaned outdoor condenser and checked operations and refrigerant pressures. Tested all electrical voltage, capacitors, and amperage on all motors and compressors. Dye testing Refrigerant Upon arrival spoke with customer via telephone. Customer is explaining that over the weekend he found evaporator coil frozen. Customer is aware his system has a leak. System was charged with 3lbs of R-410A refrigerant 2 months prior to today’s visit. Customer is having the same issue with system loosing refrigerant charge. Explained to customer on steps we can take to identify a refrigerant leak within the system. Customer agreed to have dye testing done as well as adjust refrigerant charge once more. Dye was added and 3lbs of R-410A refrigerant. Customer is aware that a follow up is needed in 30-90 days to identify the source of leak.
