Jake Kring. 01-20-25. I arrived for a club member system not working at times. I spoke with the homeowner and she explained that the system will stop running then she pulls the batteries out of the thermostat then it eventually comes on and heats. I inspected the system located in the attic and found the system to be running and heating. I checked the systems static pressure and found it to be running at a 0.67 IWC and the temperature rise to be at 73 deg and the manufacturer range is between 35/65 deg. I checked the system’s heat exchanger and found it to have excessive heat stress but no fractures at this time. I did find the induced draft motor to grind when it starts up and when it stops. I did not find any issues with the systems controls at this time. The system did not fault out for any reason at this time. I suspect that the induced draft motor is straining with the lower temperatures and the longer run times causing the system to shut off due to pressure switches not making co
