HVAC Repair Service: A client was experiencing subpar cooling from their HVAC system. After examining the unit, I discovered that the refrigerant oil levels were too low, which could lead to wear and tear on the system's components. Replenishing the refrigerant oil resolved the issue, improving both cooling performance and system longevity.
Autumn AC Maintenance Service: I performed the annual autumn tune-up for a client's air conditioning system. This included tasks like cleaning the condenser coils, inspecting the refrigerant lines for leaks, and testing the thermostat’s accuracy. These steps help ensure optimal AC performance for any lingering warmer days and prolong the system’s lifespan.
upstairs Goodman furnace not turning on. found that the customer had installed a nest thermostat supplied by duke energy. thermostat was programmed incorrectly for the wrong type of equipment. reprogrammed the thermostat and the system is now heating very well
downstairs carrier split AC. outdoor unit not turning on. upon inspection, found that the fuses in the disconnect were blown. reason for the failure was due to the compressor being shorted to ground internally. compressor will not run at all. will submit information to AHS for authorization of repairs. due to age and conditions all options should be explored
Goodman furnace, coil and AC. whole house system, two zones. tested system at arrival and found that the system was low on refrigerant. performed an electronic leak search and confirmed that the evaporator coil is leaking. coil will have to be replaced in order for the system to work properly. submitting information to AHS for authorization of repairs. due to the age and conditions all options should be explored
lennox split AC, whole house system. customer stated that system stopped working after a bad storm. inspected the system and found it empty of refrigerant. reason. was due to a sensor inside of the outdoor unit had shorted and blew a hole. in the copper tubing. sensor seems to have been struck by lightening and that caused the short. submitting information for authorization of repairs
9-26-24 returned to replace the electric heat strip kit. replaced the parts and tested the operation. the strips are now working properly.
two system maintenance. upstairs carrier split heat pump, found that the auxiliary heat strips have failed and will not work. quoted to replace the heat strips and customer approved. will order and return to replace.
Performed a heating maintenance on the customers upstairs Goodman heat pump.
upstairs Goodman split AC. at arrival, found that the drain line was clogged and caused water to fill overflow pan, which shut down power to the system. cleared the line and got system up and running. once running, found that the outdoor unit was very dirty and restricting air flow. quoted to clean the outdoor unit for better performance. customer agreed and also asked for the downstairs to be cleaned. cleaned both. upstairs system is now running and cooling very well.
