Tech turned on both zones and cycled upstairs 6 different times and each time zone damper closed and opened accordingly. Tested both dampers at zone board and opened and closed accordingly. Tech informed homeowner that system was not recreating issue but suspects it to be the damper causing it to stick. Emailed estimate to replace damper motor to homeowner and they plan to wait and see if it happens again. System is back operational at this time.

Tech performed tune up on one system, tech spoke with customer and asked about any potential concerns with system and customer stated gas usage and potential leak, tech checked all connections with leak detection bubbles and was unable to find any leaks at tank or unit at this time, tech found no other issues with system at todays visit and system is back on and operating properly at this time. Tech spoke with customer about service agreement and customer stated she would like to hold off for now.
Tech found blower motor overheated due to a failed capacitor. Tech also found no voltage at y with a heat pump. Tech jumped out thermostat and found voltage at y. Tech recommends replacing thermostat and replacing capacitor. System is near 30 years old and tech recommends replacement. After further inspection due to age, tech found system void of R22 refrigerant. The suction port is missing and is a large hole. It is also likely the coil is leaking, but suction port would need to be replaced before further leak searching to allow system to hold pressure. Tech does not recommend doing any major refrigerant repair on a 27 year old R22 system. Tech replaced blower capacitor and system is now working in emergency heat only. Field supervisor notified.
