Tech serviced and cleaned unit. Upon arrival customer was not home. Tech did exterior portion this trip. Tech found fan side of capacitor reading at 4.3/5. Tech found bacteria build up on blower. Tech pulled and cleaned. Tech also found evaporator coil showing signs of rust. Tech could not find a consistent leak. Tech could not take temperatures inside. Tech left 2 16x20x1 filters on front porch.
Tech serviced and cleaned. Upon arrival tech replaced Honeywell 5000 thermostat. Tech found compressor capacitor getting close to threshold 48/45 MFD. Tech found evaporator coil to be severely rusted. Tech could not find a consistent leak. Tech also found bacteria build up on blower. Tech pulled and cleaned. Unit is heating and cooling efficiently. Send customer bill.
Tech performed preventative maintenance and serviced system. Tech recommended a hard start kit to lower starting amps and prolong the life of the compressor. Customer invested in hard start kit. System is up and running with a delta t of 40.
Technician found breaker was tripped. Technician reset breaker tested system found compressor ohming out in green. Amp draws are 8.9 rla for compressor is 11.6. Capacitor is 30.5mfd well within specs. Technician found upon startup compressor draws in well over 20amps for a split sec. Then system started running properly. Technician suspects system pulls to much surge amps. Due to age and present challenges technician recommends replacing system. If hard start kit is installed it is a bandage. Technician tried calling James Hawkins no answer.

Water Heater Repair: A homeowner complained of inconsistent hot water supply, especially after the recent snowstorm. After inspecting the system, we found that the thermostat had malfunctioned. We replaced the thermostat and recalibrated the unit, ensuring reliable hot water for the home during the colder months.
Carrier package electric furnace. Found faulty thermostat unable to make call for heat. Replaced thermostat and cycled system electric heat is now running. System is very old and in extremely poor condition. Heat strip kit is corroded/rusted. Performance cannot be guaranteed. Handed over to field supervisor to quote replacement. Alexis approved repairs.
Technician found breaker was loose once technician touched breaker shut off. Technician removed the breaker and opened the spacers to secure to breaker on the main panel. Technician then installed breaker and tested found it secured properly and did not shut off when touched.
Tech serviced and cleaned unit. Tech found compressor side of capacitor reading at 47.7/45 (49.5=bad). Tech faced no other challenges this visit(unit is only a year old). Unit is heating and cooling efficiently.
Tech arrived and checked system operation, tech found flash code for faulty outdoor temp sensor and tested readings, tech found sensor to be reading incorrectly, tech also found outdoor Txv failed and called office for warranty check. System not under any warranty. Tech called in for field supervisor and Mike is on site. No charge due to recent visit.

Tech serviced and cleaned unit. Tech found evaporator coil to be severely rusted. Tech did a detailed leak search but could not find a consistent leak. Tech also found compressor capacitor reading at 17.76/45 and fan side 1.9/5. Tech recommends dual run capacitor (tech does not have a 45 MFD capacitor on truck). Customer would like to wait. Customer claims she will be moving out in 3-4 months. Tech found leak (Dripping) under the house also was seen by previous tech customer was informed. Unit is heating and cooling efficiently.
Provided estimate to remove existing gas furnace and install a new 3 ton split heat pump.
Tech found thermostat satisfied at 73. Heat pump is working properly and defrosting properly. Tech verified heat strips working properly. Customer cuts system down to 65 at night. Tech informed customer that when it’s below 40, it will take a while for it catch back up to 73. System is heating properly at this time. Indoor temp increased to 74 while tech was there. Tech found supply temp at 95 with just the heat pump and 115 with auxiliary heat indicating proper system operation.
