Jackson and Sons never disappoints. Their technicians are knowledgeable and very professional. Jackson and Sons sends you a bio of the technician before they enter your home. Our a/c stopped working after hours this week. I called Jackson and Son’s and they sent someone out to fix it at 8:00 pm. We have been doing business with them for 20 plus years. They are the BEST!
On time! Very professional. I would recommend this company to anyone that needed repairs done on their healing and cooling unit.
Ricardo did a relatively quick and efficient maintenance check on my heating and air conditioning unit, pronounced it fit and ready to maintain temperature in my home, and even did a thorough cleaning on the unit. I found him to be intelligent, attentive, and soft spoken, all very desirable qualities in one so young. He helps renew an old man's faith in the new generation!
Campbell was prompt, fast and communicated well about our units. He also did a great job explaining the difference in the service plans.
Josh was professional, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. We always have received great service from Jackson and Sons.
Customer service was wonderful between the folks who I spoke with on the phone and Romario. Thanks for being so prompt and kind!
Mr Holmes is the only techician I trust with my oil furnace and does a very good job.
Very nice man
Response from Jackson & Sons:
Thank you so much for trusting us with your home! We sincerely appreciate the 5 stars!
I have done business with Jackson and Sons for many years. In all that time I have been continuously impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of their techs. They are up to date on your system, no matter what kind you have. Ronnie is as friendly and courteous as anyone I've ever met and took the time to make sure my questions were answered and I was satisfied with the service. I highly recommend him if you need service. I hope I get him next time!
Response from Jackson & Sons:
Thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review. We are glad that you loved our services, our dedicated staff will be pleased to learn of your high praise.
Kenny is one of the “best all around” techs that has been to our home. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Keep up the good work, Jackson and Sons!
Tech replaced upstairs and downstairs evaporator coils per previous techs diagnosis. Tech brazed with nitrogen, pressure tested, pulled vacuums and recharged what compressor couldn’t hold to 8 degrees subcooling per data tag. Tech also had to replace upstairs trap due to not enough between out and trap to cut trap and reattach with a coupler. Both systems are cooling properly.
Tech performed esa on goodman heat pump package unit. Tech found no challenges at todays visit.
Found primary drain line clogged, along with EZ trap cap open which caused float switch to bypass filling up auxiliary pan. Cleared drain line, removed excess water, and tested float switches. Secured EZ trap cap. Tested drainage with no challenges. Invested in ESA (2) systems. Call to schedule 1st visit. Would like to schedule a couple weeks from today.
Found the blower wheel broken on system #2(labeled at the disconnect). The Evaporator coil has frost due to lack of airflow. System does have indications that it has been worked on before. Tech recommended having our field supervisor provide a proposal on having the 3 gas packs under a maintenance contract and costumer decided to wait for now until a decision is made about the the system that it is down. System #2 is currently down. Collected by check. Mail in the copy of the invoice and estimate by regular mail to the address provided by Mr. Bob.
Upon arrival homeowner stated inside portion was making a real loud noise when running. Tech found dead mouse in blower wheel causing blower to be off centered when running. Tech removed mouse and noise subsided. Charged a trip charge for todays visit.
Upon arrival homeowner stated a burning smell near the bathroom. Tech inspected system, found no burnt wires, and blower amp draws were within spec. Smell comes and goes and is only in one spot of the the home. Home has under pinning and is unable to check duct work. Could not find where smell is coming from unfortunately, homeowner is aware. Homeowner invested in MPA and also charged a house call fee for todays visit.
Upon arrival tech was informed older system was freezing. Tech found all components running, checked pressures and were low. Tech performed leak search and found leaks at the evaporator coil. Contacted office to have field supervisor go over best options due to system being older R22. Informed customer of findings and would like quote for new system. Left breaker off at condenser.
Tech charged the upstairs system (warranty) with 2lbs of R410a refrigerant until the parts come in. System is cooling, however, due to the major leak found at the indoor coil, non-condensible s are entering the system slowly which is messing with the refrigerant pressures, subcool and superheat which will effect the cooling performance. Thermostat was reading at 73 degrees and set on 70. System is cooling just not efficiently as it should for now. Door was locked prior to departure.
Tech serviced and cleaned system, tech found no challenges at this time, system is back up and running with a delta t of 20+,tech used two16x20x1
Tech serviced and cleaned unit, tech found evaporator coil starting to show signs of rust and corrosion, tech notified homeowner, tech didn’t pick up on any leaks at todays visit, system is back up and running with a delta t of 20+ degrees, tech found no challenges at today’s visit.
Tech found R22 system low on refrigerant, customer wants to charge system to get by tech added 3lbs of r22 to get to designed run specs and proper superheat for piston. System is back cooling with 17 delta t.
-Arrived to find thermostat labeled as AC #6 blank. Verified no low voltage on thermostat wires behind thermostat. -Found primary float switch tripped on system. Cleaned drain trap, cleared drain line with compressed nitrogen, and added algae tabs to primary drain pan. Flushed line with algae tabs dissolved in water. Confirmed settings on thermostat are still correct for system. System now cooling to satisfaction. -Observed portion of drain line above employee bathroom sagging. This likely allows water to sit stagnant in drain pipe, which is conducive to algae buildup and possible clogging of drain line. Customer may want to have drain pipe leveled/sloped.
-Dispatched to recharge 2 systems to acceptable cooling pressures as a temporary repair under warranty until replacement evaporator coils arrive for permanent repair. Coils expected to arrive this week. -Found both condensers operating upon arrival. -Found 2.5 Ton system condenser serial number ending in M44F with overly sufficient subcooling. Did not add refrigerant. -Recharged 3.5 Ton system condenser serial number ending in 9TKF with 5 pounds R410A to achieve subcooling of 8-10.
-Tenant states he had noticed system short cycling earlier today and cut system off at thermostat. -Upon arrival, system was operating correctly. Temperature difference in cooling mode is 17 degrees, as appropriate. Pressures seem okay. -Could not replicate systems at time of visit. Suspect intermittent issues may be present but could not identify at this time. Customer stated he changed air filter after issues began. Air flow restriction may have been causing erratic pressures.
