Landen did an excellent job!! Explained service well and pointed out, with photos, future potential issues and what needed to be done. Couldn’t have asked for better service!!
Kyle W was an excellent technician. He took the time to explain to me the problem, how to fix it, how to maintain my unit since it is very old, to get the best use out of it until I can replace it. This is my second time using Jackson and Sons and I would recommend this company to everybody that I know!

I highly recommend Jackson and Son’s for all your Heating and Air needs. I have been an investor for over 30 years and this is the only company that have not only provided excellent customer service but they take the time to educate the customer about the system.
Tyler was very nice and had it up and running in no time. Thank you to Jerry also for fitting me in quickly
They came to Service HVAC units at the Immunotek Bio Center in Rocky Mount and they did a great job.
New install system at the packing room of the warehouse. Serial #23345NKU3V Found a 3 phase 20amp breaker at the main panel tripped. Tech noticed the wire gauge size too small of a gauge to supply the airhandler. The condenser breaker size is 60amp. System is not 3 phase. The thermostat was set to conventional and need to be set to heat pump. Tech left the 20amp breaker tripped and disconnect off at the airhandler for now. Office will be notified of the findings. Pictures on file. Christopher also wanted tech to cancel 2 branch lines on a different due to remodeling. Tech tied the ends of the flex lines with straps and left the, above the room.
Replaced faulty fan motor system back to heating and cooling correctly Homeowner invested in premium service agreement Model and serial was not on system.
Tech found right side gas pack inducer motor receiving 240v but not running. Motor assembly will need to be replaced. Tech also recommends maintenance plan to keep burners coils and filters clean.
Tech found induced draft motor was humming but would not run tech suspects induced draft motor has seized up will need replacing before any further diagnosing happens tech did inspect heat exchanger heat exchanger is in good shape
Inspection on 3 system, changed filters, cleared drain traps.
ESA performed yesterday. Costumer stated system was blowing cold air in the morning/night. Checked system for any loose wiring, no fault codes were demonstrated on the ignition control board. Tested gas heat 4 times to attempt to duplicate any abnormal operation and found none. System started up in heat all 4 times. Tech is unsure of what the challenge was at this time, system is heating as it should. Tech ran a full 20 heat cycle. Told costumer to give us a call if a challenge rises again and to take pictures/record any abnormal operations if possible/if any. Heat temperature was satisfied at 75 degrees. Recent ESA visit.
Tech performed ESA, tech inspected heat and found all operations are working properly, good gas pressure, heat exchanger in good condition, all Limits in check, pressure switch working properly, heat side of system is working properly along with air conditioning.
Tech performed ESA, tech recommended adding surge protection to system, tech found no issues at todays visit, system is back on and working properly in air conditioning and heat.
Induced draft assembly is pulling .74 amps which is high for this system Recommend new non stock induced draft assembly. At this time hot surface ignitor shows signs of age but has not failed Heat exchanger is safe and only has light rust at this time Recommend esa plan to obtain discount Recommend dehumidifier and carbon monoxide detector. No approval at this time
Tech found blown 3 amp fuse. Tech went through process of elimination and found defrost control board causing short. Homeowner cannot afford control board at this moment. Homeowner stated he will call in when he is ready.
Performed PTU. Homeowner has home warranty company covering maintenance. Declined ESA. Highly recommended ESA. System is brand new and is working properly. Homeowner also expressed very little air flow upstairs. System is a gas pack and not a zone system. Duct work is underneath house and in attic. Tech explained they would have to get a upstairs system to accommodate proper air flow for the upstairs. Tech recommended a field supervisor to come out sometime next week. Homeowner approved. Office is to schedule a time for a field supervisor to come out to give a quote. Also recommended plasma air, wants to look it over more.
Pu 2 was heating and cooling as it should serial 192211647L HP 4 was frozen due to bad defrost board serial E152418197
Upon arrival tech tested system in heat mode and found inducer draft motor stuck. Tech pulled inducer and inspected and found blower wheel in good shape but bearings are failing internally inside assembly. Tech was able to free up assembly but will very likely not last long. Tech informed customer at last visit that inducer was likely to fail soon. System is over 10 years old, customer is not interested in replacing system at this time. Tech quoted $1,598.67 to replace inducer draft assembly. Customer is unable to make repair at this time and will call when able to do so. No charge for house call fee per office.
Upon arrival customer stated a burning smell was coming from system while in heat mode. Tech tested gas heat operation and found no challenges. All burners ignited properly, inducer draft motor is noisy. Tech informed customer. Tech did not smell and unusual or burnt smells coming from system at unit or inside home. Tech suspects when burners lit for the first time it burned off any debris as well as burned off any debris on the heat exchanger and created a burning smell inside. Customer stated the smell was brief and went away. Tech was unable to access crawlspace due to seized/rusted screws on metal crawl door. Tech informed homeowner. Crawlspace looked to be dry looking in from foundation vents. Duct system is of age. Tech found standing water at bottom of steps and underneath door of basement entrance outside as well as a strong sewage like smell. Tech informed homeowner. System is heating properly, tech collected $87.00 plus tax per Housecall fee.
Tech serviced unit and changed filters. Tech found no difficulties at this time. System does have age and is loud. No leaks found in evap coil and compressor meg well. Homeowner was not home during service.
