Thorough, excellent service!

Had a very cold week where my system was not maintaining the set heat in the house. Spencer came out and immediately diagnosed the issue of the emergency heat not kicking-on and completed a quick fix and answered all my questions and concerns. Can’t say enough about the excellent service always provided by the techs from Jackson & Sons.

10/10 Recommend

As always Jackson & Sons does not disappoint. Called for a service tech to come out after noticing my system running much louder than normal after several unseasonably cold days. Aidan was courteous, patient and thorough taking the time to explain the noise was completely normal (phew!!) in response to the recent cold mornings. I Highly appreciate the timely response in having a tech come out to inspect and confirm the system is operating appropriately with no concerns.

Tech monitored system operation and found everything to be running, found no unusual noises coming from condensing unit. Tech did find that equalizer line was routed extremely close to fan blade. Tech pushed line away from blade. Also found system running a high head pressure in heat mode. Found blower set to lowest speed, adjusted blower speed to medium. Head pressure dropped and is within spec, evap coil is clean filters are slightly dirty. Recommended investing in maintenance agreement.

Tech found heat strips not running with auxiliary heat call. Tech found thermostat sending power to w2 but not w1 at air handler board. White wire was tied to w2 and black to w1. Thermostat only has white wire connected and has no slot for w2. Tech tied white to w1 and w2 connections and found heat strip running with thermostat call. Tech found burning smell in heat strips and suspects heat strips have never ran. Tech informed customer once the dust is burned off the smell will go away. System is heating properly at this time. Supply temp is 116
