Top Notch Installer

Audonele really knows his craft. He even found an issue with the ductwork that the previous hvac company had created when the old system was installed and took the time to correct it. He is definitely a valuable asset to Jackson and Sons or whatever company he decides to work for. He worked hard to ensure that the quality that I was hoping for was received. I couldn’t be more satisfied with his level of care and attention to details.

Exceptional service

Matthew was prompt and efficient as well as informative. I must say that everyone at Jackson and Son that I’ve interacted with so far have had such a positive effect. Both on the quality of their work and their customer service. It’s rare in these times to find a company you can trust and have confidence in. I’m glad my neighbor across the street recommended Jackson and Son as in the future I will do as well.

Upon arrival tech found compressor/condensing fan not running due to open low pressure switch. Found system out of refrigerant, inspected evaporator coil and quickly noticed obvious leak area at coil. Heavy signs of refrigerant spray/film in bottom corner of drain pan. Customer approved estimate to replace coil, order and schedule repair.

— Performed CMA Inspection on 1 Split AC System with Hot Water Coil. Cleaned and flushed drain pan & lines, tested electrical and temperatures, changed air filters. — Found thermostat not satisfied and calling for heat upon arrival. System uses hot water for heating. Observed return temperature of 63 at thermostat, with supply temperature of 70. Found insufficient temperature difference in heat mode. Location seems to have water heater turned off. Acceptable temperature difference in cooling mode, with a supply temperature of 50 and a return of 67. — Customer was not on site to confirm if water heater is off. Did not observe any hot water when running at bathroom sink (after turning hot water valve to sink on). Made attempt to contact customer to confirm if water heater was off. No answer from customer, and was unable to locate indoor breaker panel. Left message with customer.

Performed ESA on both systems, thoroughly cleaned both systems. Found dual run capacitor testing weak at condenser of main system. Replaced and tested after approval. Found no further challenges with either system, both are operating properly at this time. Customer extended PSA on both systems.

Apon arrival tech found 60 amp breaker supplying air handler to be tripped tech reset and ran system and found no challenges with sys to be causing the trip tech did notice breaker to be getting hot tech suspects breaker to be failing tech also found the suction line to have a kink in it tech checked pressures doesn’t seem to be causing and issues at the moment. Due to the age of the system and the unit running a lot on the summer time the customer would like to have a field supervisor come out to quote a new system so they can plan on replacement. Tech did recommended having the system maintenance customer agreed and asked for a brochure sent estimate on maintenance plans.

- Customer advised tech that the condenser made a loud noise when shifting into defrost but experienced no challenges with heating. Thermostat satisfied at 70 degrees upon arrival. - Tech initiated two full defrost cycles, observing normal operation and no abnormal sounds. Confirmed refrigerant charge per PT chart. Advised customer that the defrost cycle will appear louder than normal due to weather conditions and low outdoor temperatures. - Customer will contact office regarding service agreement. System is operating normally at this time. Thermostat satisfied at 72 degrees upon departure.
