Found and replaced a weak capacitor. Cycled system in cool, conducted a temp drop, and everything is in working operations right now.
Performed a clean and check on air conditioning unit. Conducted a temp drop tested all electrical components including contactor and capacitor. Cleaned the coil and checked the charge on the unit. Cycled system in cool and everything is in working operations right now.
Found unit low on refrigerant notified customer that it was low. Recommend that she replaced unit since current unit was old. Customer looking to replace ac and furnace. Replacement quoted for 5245.
Found unit with no power to the outdoor unit and a bad capacitor Which Caused the breaker to trip reset breaker, replace capacitor cycled unit and checked system charge all operations are OK at this time
Checked filter checked temp drop which was off. Cycled ac found condenser coil was very clogged, washed coil checked all electrical components and controls and restarted the system checked charge found low side pressure was high and high side pressure was low checked amperage on compressor and determined that a compressor valve is either damaged or worn and system is not able to keep a good differential. Reccomend replacement of the system customer agreed Greg coming out to give qoute and see if air handler will need to be replaced.
Performed clean and check on gas furnace tested and inspected all electrical components and controls performed combustion analysis cleaned flame sensor confirmed operation of humidifier changed air filter though unit is older and original to the house it is operating normally at this time. Noted rust on the blower door however this is more of a cosmetic issue and not an issue of furnace performance.
Found bad blower motor and replaced with a universal rescue motor did not charge a service call as we were here on Thursday, also did not replace the capacitor as it had already been replaced.
Found unit with a bad blower motor capacitor, checked heat exchanger, removed and replaced with a new capacitor, explained that the blower motor could still fail due to the stress of the bad capacitor that was operating it, all operations ok at this time.
Performed clean and check on heat pump heating with backup electric heat confirmed proper operation of the reversing valve tested defrost controls switched system to back up electric checked all heat banks tested and inspected all electrical components and controls, checked filter which was clogged and replaced with a filter supplied by the customer performed clean and check on the humidfier replaced pad set damper for winter all operations are normal at this time.
Installed new Carrier Infinity thermostat on a Carrier Infinity Hydronic System. Set up thermostat. Cycled thermostat. Everything operating properly at this time
Performed clean and check on gas furnace and heat pump heating customer also stated it seemed dry in the house found water for humidifier had been shut off. Engaged valve and adjusted water pressure recommend that customer have humidifier pad replaced customer plans to replace it themselves all operations are normal at this time.
