Because Corona Virus is active, I did not risk watching the technician do his work, but I assume he did a full furnace and condenser cleaning and changeout of filter and humidifier plates. Everything was clean when he left and he has installed an air purifier.
Tech was knowledgeable, professional and efficient.
The technician, Drew, was knowledgeable, professional and helpful!
Roger serviced our system today and was so professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and dignified. It was a pleasure having his help. We also have an unusual problem with what looks like a leak coming through the ceiling. Roger / Jansen have the knowledge and capabilities to find our solution! I have the utmost trust in Jansen. Three years ago we lived in a huge 1910 home without central air. Jansen took on this challenge and did it perfectly all the while keeping the duct work out of sight. They were the only company able to do that. Most HVAC businesses saw the challenges in our old home and said they weren’t able to do the job! Jansen is top notch in every way!!!
I had Roger Ashworth. Not Drew as message mentioned.
As 2 year customers of Jansen, we have been impressed with Kim and Laura in the office and especially with our wonderful technician Nick Hursh. Fabulous interpersonal relations, caring and compassionate and technically superior.
Replaced burner motor and pump coupling. Then fished the clean and check on the oil furnace. Cycled system all operations are okay at this time.
Performed clean and check on gas furnace and humidifier. Tested t-stat operations and cycled system in heat. Tested humidifier, changed water panel and set for winter, measured temp rise, conducted combustion analysis, cleaned condensate trap and flame sensor, flushed drain line, tested and inspected blower motor assembly and all electrical components. Blower capacitor beginning to weaken but still within range, recommended replacement. Inspected burner tubes and checked filter which does not need changed at this time. Everything is operating within specifications.
Performed clean and check on gas furnace and humidifier all operations are normal at this time.
Performed clean and check on gas furnace. Cleaned flame sensor and flushed drain line, inspected burner tubes, tested and inspected blower motor assembly and all electrical components, checked filter which does not need changed, tested t-stat operations and cycled system in low and high heat stages, conducted combustion analysis and measured temperature rise. System displayed code 9 (high heat pressure switch did not close or reopened). Inspected flu piping and combustion air supply for obstructions, inspected pressure switch tubing. Cleared clogged condensate trap which corrected the issue. Advised customer to call us if issue occurs again. Everything is operating normally at this time. Customer paid by check.
Customer decided to have ac and furnace checked customer also stated they believe the ac was not operating properly found unit frozen outside and at coil with water dripping into the blower compartment started furnace clean and check tested and inspected all electrical components and controls cleaned flame sensor and condensate trap insured unit was draining normally and performed a combustion analysis all aspects of furnace are operating normally at this time ac has still not thawed rescheduled ac portion for next week weather pending. Returned found ac low on charge also noted coil was clogged cleaned coil balanced ac unit tested and inspected all electrical components and controls all operations are normal at this time.
Performed clean and check on gas furnace and humidifier tested and inspected electrical components and controls cleaned flame sensor and condensate trap performed combustion analysis changed air filter supplied by customer found humidifier was leaking due to a clogged drain hose which I cleared replaced humidifier pad and cycled humidifier all operations are normal at this time.
Renewal contract with tankless water heater added
Installed new iWave-R Residential Air Cleaner and test cycled unit. Performed summer and winter maintenance checks on gas furnace and AC. Changed humidifier pad and tested humidifier, changed air filter, flushed condensate drains and cleaned trap, cleaned flame sensor and burner tubes, cycled system in heat and measured temp rise, tested and inspected blower motor assembly and all electrical components, conducted combustion analysis, cycled system in cooling and measured delta-t, cleaned condenser coil, checked refrigerant pressures, tested t-stat operations and found everything to be operating within specifications at this time.
Customer stated that AC was not cooling. Diagnosed bad compressor with infinite ohms metered between Common and Start as well as Common and Run. Due to the age and condition of the system vs repair costs, I strongly recommended replacing the system. Provided estimates for system replacement. Applied customer coupon. Customer wants Greg to call her at his earliest convenience. I notified Greg.
Customer stated that AC had not been coming on. Found temperature sensor reading 15 degrees in 71 degree ambient room. Batteries were in backwards. Placed t-stat batteries in correct position which corrected the issue. Performed clean and check on AC system. Changed filter that customer provided, tested and inspected blower motor assembly and all electrical components, measured delta-t, cleaned condenser coil, checked refrigerant pressures and sub cooling, checked condensate drain for proper drainage. Everything is operating normally at this time.
Found system with no high voltage checked for loose wiring tested and inspected electrical components and controls checked fuses reset breaker and cycled system found system low on charge reviewed repair options with customer and also informed customer that system is beyond life expectancy at this point customer elected to balance system with r-22 and stop leak added charged system and added stop leak.
Both units are frozen and need service found one damper unplugged and two clogged filters second floor thermostst is a byrant evolution controller, first floor thermostat and basement thermostst may not be compatible as well due to sensor wiring confirmed furnace has a 75va transformer to power the zoning board so power should not be of concern for the nest batteries. Reccomend customer sign up for a maintenance contract customer agreed rescheduled to allow both systems to thaw collected for ma contract. Returned 7/31/20 installed 2 nest thermostats removed clogged filters confirmed units were thawed performed clean and check on two ac systems tested and inspected all electrical components and controls confirmed proper operation of the damper system check charge on both ac units cleaned coils all operations are normal at this time.
Unit operating upon arrival cycled ac system which ran for 10 minutes buzzing sound then began at disconnect and all voltage was dropped from the outdoor unit inspected disconnect box disconnect was loose and warped with signs of electrical arcs on line 1 and line 2 at disconnect. Reccomend replacement of the disconnect box customer agreed replaced disconnect and cycled ac all operations are normal at this time. Collected check for payment
