Zach is a Great guy to send out to meet new clients, analyze the situation, and generate a plan on the spot. He might take it a little slower when explaining the mechanics of plumbing, pipes, pumps, vents, etc. I have a masters in fluid mechanics and I had to work hard to keep up with him.

We recently had a service visit from Cody and Chris, and I was incredibly impressed. Cody has always provided outstanding service, and it’s clear he is helping build a team that holds the same high standards. Chris was professional, friendly, and eager to ensure everything was handled perfectly. They worked efficiently together, explained what they were doing, and made sure I understood the options before moving forward. It’s wonderful to see Jerm’s Heating and Plumbing growing while keeping their commitment to exceptional customer care. If you want a team that is skilled, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about their work, this is the company to call!

Cody at Jerm’s Heating and Plumbing has been servicing my home, our rental property, and my parents’ home for quite some time and he is absolutely excellent. He’s reliable, knowledgeable, and always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done right the first time. Whether it’s routine maintenance or an unexpected issue, Cody shows up timely, explains everything clearly, and delivers high-quality work at a fair price. It’s rare to find a company you can trust fully, but Jerm’s has earned that confidence time and time again from the very first time we met Jeremy (he's now a manager). If you’re looking for a heating and plumbing service that treats you like family and keeps your home running smoothly, look no further. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

For this estimate, we provided a detailed evaluation for the complete removal of the existing air injection filtration system that was previously installed for taste and odor treatment. The customer advised that the system has been unplugged and out of service for several years and requested that it be fully removed. The scope of work included isolating the water supply as required, disconnecting and removing the air injection tank, control head, and all associated piping, and reconfiguring the plumbing to properly reconnect the water lines for normal operation. Upon completion, all remaining piping was securely fastened and thoroughly tested to verify proper operation and confirm there were no leaks. The work area was left clean, and disposal of all removed equipment was included, leaving the plumbing system in safe, functional condition.
Installed a mixing valve on the water heater. Set the water heater temperature to 140°F and adjusted the mixing valve to 4.5. Checked the mixing valve for leaks and verified proper hot water temperature. Reviewed system operation with the customer.
Arrived on site to figure out why boiler was making a popping noise and shooting out soot on startup. Upon arrival, we found that the boiler was actually rolling out on startup. We pulled the burners and pilot assembly. We removed the vent to clean the top of the heat exchanger. After cleaning it we tried ignition again. Same outcome, boiler flames rolled out the front. We found that the regulators outside were very old and past their lifespan. We adjusted the gas pressure to as close to 10” w.c. As possible. We believe the old regulators could be the cause of the flame rollout. As of right now, as long as the pilot does not go out, the flame rollout should not happen. We cycled the boiler 4-5 times using the thermostat and no rollout had occurred. We determined it was safe to run for now but the propane company should come out and replace both outdoor regulators.
Upon arrival, the water supply was restored and air was purged from all hot and cold fixtures. System pressure was checked and found to exceed 100 PSI due to a failed pressure reducing valve. The faulty valve was removed and replaced with a new unit, and proper operation was verified with system pressure set to 60 PSI. All valves were opened and each fixture was inspected to confirm normal operation with no leaks present. The upstairs right bathroom toilet was also tested and showed no leaks; a bead of caulking was applied around the base to improve stability and ease of cleaning. The upstairs toilet was found to be unstable due to movement at the base and age-related wear. The existing toilet was removed, and inspection revealed that a proper metal flange was not present and the toilet had been secured only with screws. Tile was carefully removed to allow for proper flange installation. A new metal flange was installed and secured to the floor, with a spacer added to ensure correct h
Customer reported no heat on the second floor. Diagnosed a failed circulator on the second-floor heating zone that was not circulating water. Replaced the failed circulator, purged the zone, and verified proper operation. Replaced the boiler expansion tank and the automatic high vent on the air scoop due to failure. Inspected the air scoop nozzle, filter strainer, tank filter, and burner strainer; all were found restricted. Flushed the oil line to clear restrictions and restore proper fuel flow. Performed combustion analysis and draft testing, and verified all system safeties were operating correctly. Confirmed all other heating zones were functioning properly and thermostats were responding as intended. Completed annual maintenance on the oil-fired boiler system, including a comprehensive inspection of safety controls and components to ensure safe, efficient operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Recommended future replacement of the boiler combustion chamber du
Disassembled and removed the old boiler from the basement. Cleaned the surrounding area and removed all associated components from the site. Jim reported hearing air in the first-floor piping. The first-floor zone was thoroughly purged, and an air pocket was identified and removed. Verified proper circulation with no remaining air noise in the piping. Confirmed proper operation of both upstairs and downstairs thermostats; each calls independently and responds as designed. The system is operating properly at this time.
Arrived onsite to investigate insufficient heat on a Lennox propane furnace. The unit had gone out the previous week but was operating properly upon arrival. I presented options to further diagnose the issue or to perform an annual tune-up. The customer chose to proceed with the annual tune-up as the first step. I explained that if any additional issues occur, further diagnosis may be required. Performed annual tune-up, cleaned the burners, heat exchanger, igniter, flame sensor, and condensate trap. Checked all safety controls, venting, fans, and overall furnace operation. Bubble-tested the gas line and checked carbon monoxide levels — no leaks detected. Verified operation; system is running properly at this time.

Arrived on site to diagnose no heat on furnace and water heater. Found the control board on the furnace had corrosion on it and it had shorted out causing the furnace not run at all. The water heater was also leaking out of the top near the exhaust and needs to be replaced. Provided quotes for all of the work and JHCC. Work and service plan were accepted. The control board should be in in a couple of days and we will be in touch to schedule the water heater. We are aiming to do both jobs on the same day if possible. Thank you for your business!
Arrived on site to continue diagnosing intermittent no hot water. After speaking with tech support for the 2nd time they believe the flow sensor has failed but they could not really give any concrete reasons for the issue we are experiencing. The boiler circulator pump seems to be not working intermittently but when the boiler is reset it’ll start working again. We have a flow sensor ordered and should be available for pickup tomorrow morning. We will be in touch to get it scheduled. Thank you for your patience.
Arrived onsite to investigate a no-heat issue on a Mitsubishi 1-to-1 mini split system. The outdoor unit was displaying a 10-blink error code (system protection fault). Refrigerant pressures were found to be low, which would cause this fault. I checked for leaks at the indoor unit, outdoor unit, and all flare connections but was unable to locate any visible leaks. Given that the unit is approximately four years old, this appears to be a very small refrigerant leak. Provided estimates to recover the refrigerant, add sealant, recharge the system, and perform an annual tune-up. The customer was also interested in comparing pricing for unit replacement; we will follow up with an estimate.
For this job, we came out to evaluate the existing cast iron piping that will need to be repiped from the upstairs area down to the basement due to its condition and age. The piping was inspected to determine the scope of work and potential routing for the new piping. No repairs were performed at this time. Detailed estimates for the recommended repiping work will be prepared and sent to the customer via email for review and approval.
