ARS/Universal scam artists (Stefon to be specifici) and Moncrief rep said I had a R22 system and needed to be replaced to upcoming R410. Each quoted a new system at either $7000 or $9000. Maxwell's Jeremy and Thomas evaluated the problem. Solution: I need 3 pounds of refrigerant, total cost with service call: $320! I let you draw your own conclusion. To say our A/C and heating issues have been a disaster would be an understatement. Jim came on a Sunday night until way past 11pm. And then back the next morning for another full day. And then back again Thursday to check everything and make one last adjustment. I know we hope to never have to see each other again, but it certainly isn't because we don't think he's fantastic.
