This unit was not igniting the pilot. The pilot light was cleared and the pilot flame was established. The ignition control board makes a loud bad relay sound and does not pass control voltage to the gas valve to lite the main burners. In addition to this the gas valve’s main valve solenoid windings have failed with a resistance measurement of less than one ohms. The heat exchanger was checked and is in good condition. The fan motor bearings are showing signs of normal wear for the age of the unit but is still functioning. I recommend a new control board, gas valve and a complete pilot removal and cleaning.
