The customer stated the upstairs system started not cooling a few days ago. I completed a complimentary refrigerant leak search on the system. I found a refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil. The system is low on refrigerant (R410a) The condenser fan motor is leaking oil from the bearings. Inspected the downstairs system. The system is clean. No refrigerant leaks found at this time. All motor amps are in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The refrigerant pressures are in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The system is working properly at this time. I completed our check sheets for the systems. I prepared options for the customer. The customer declined options at this time and is calling their home warranty to take care of the issue.
went to build met with customer looked over unit that needs to be replaced got all info built estimate for replacement and emailed to customer.
Upon arrival customers showed location of thermostat and units. Changed out attic thermostat and sold membership to customer. Customer will be getting different thermostat to work with duel fuel.
