Terrible Service

AC is way too loud, tech said they would fix it but haven’t heard back. In the first 7 days of install had to have them come back out 3 times for different issues. First water on floor then thermostat wouldn’t work then faulty safety switch. No call or replacement switch or fixing of noisy duct

Not happy

My ac is not working at its full potential, all components are functional but it is not cooling as well as it should be. I had a service tech come to my house and claim the reason is a dirts condenser. So he charged $360 to clean the condenser then claimed everything should work normal now. Also said he checked the coils and blower motor but never got into my attic where those are located. I’m disappointed in the service.

. Upon arrival went to indoor unit. The blower was running and amped at .93. The blower housing is clean. The coil is clean. Leak searched coil and found a leak. Went to outdoor unit. The refrigerant pressures were 5 psi. The compressor megohmmed in the green. The fan motor is in good shape. The capacitor checked out in range. The system has a 10 year parts warranty. The furnace is level and sealed air tight. The evaporator coil is clean and free of debris. The blower amps are 8.65 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. I reinforced the armaflex at the evaporator coil. The inducer motor amps are .94 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The wheel on the inducer has come off the shaft. I found the system running in heat when it’s suppose to run in cooling. The thermostat set the programming to default settings. The customer explained it does this when there’s a power surge and that it has done this before. The customer has a new Honeywell thermostat he wants me to install. I installed the thermostat and turned the system on. The blower amps are .13 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The condenser coil is dirty. The disconnect is a square D breaker that is prone to failure. Recommend replacing. The compressor amps are 5.14 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The condenser fan amps are .55 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. All wiring is tight and in good condition. The customer declined recommendations and said he will clean the coil. The refrigerant pressures are 290/133 off due to dirty coil. I cannot obtain proper refrigerant levels until the coil is cleaned. The customer does home improvement for a living and said h

Upon arrival spoke with customer and started checking indoor unit. Filter is clean, coil is still clean, leak searched again with no hits. Blower amped at 1.1amps. Drain is clear. Went outside, checked pressures and they where at 90/300, found to be low. Leak searched outdoor unit and only leak found was shradder on suction port leaking ever so slightly. Fixed it and added 1lb of 419a. When system was running it was acting like the txv was shutting down then cAme back together. Let system run awhile and system is working good at this time. Explained to customer if the txv fails it would need to be an ordered part. System is working at this time of service. Pressures where 115/325, 12° subcool.
