I found Stan through a Nest thermostat tech support specialist who was looking for a technician to fix my setup so I could have heat again. Stan arrived when he said he would, texting and calling ahead. He seemed very knowledgeable about HVAC systems in general, but specifically knew about smart programmable thermostats like Nest, which is not a skill that all HVAC pros have, not by a long shot. He diagnosed the problem within minutes. He spoke w/Nest agent on the phone to explain things and answer questions, and he filled out a detailed invoice as required by the company for reimbursing costs. Great service.

During terrible cold wave noticed that heat was not cycling on at regular intervals. It would heat up the house then go off for up to 10 hours before going back on. In the height of a heat wave, Modern Air responded quickly to my needs. My air conditioning unit ceased blowing cold air. The modern air team was able to diagnose and correct the issue. Responded to a no-heat call in Ivyland, PA 18974. The club member reported their heating system was blowing cool air, the house had dropped to about 60°F, and the unit was showing four red flashing lights with one green light. After inspecting the system and verifying no clogs, we diagnosed the heating failure and restored proper operation. The customer was relieved and satisfied to have heat back on during the cold evening.
Responded to a heating control issue for a homeowner in New Hope, PA 18938. The first-floor zone was turning on by itself even though the Nest app showed it as OFF, and the basement zone damper was disconnected and stuck halfway open. We diagnosed a failing zoning control for the main floor and recommended replacing the full 3-zone system with updated smart thermostats for reliable operation. The customer was relieved to finally understand the cause and appreciated having a clear solution for long-term peace of mind.
Wrapped up a heating service visit for a customer in Philadelphia, PA 19106, who reported her system was heating very slowly and relying on auxiliary heat, unable to rise above 70°F. This is the same unit we serviced back in July. During the visit, we replaced the ECM blower motor and blower wheel under a 1-year parts and labor warranty. After the replacement, we confirmed everything is performing correctly under warranty coverage, giving her peace of mind throughout the season.
