We have been very pleased in our dealings Northern Comfort. They do the preventative maintenance on our forced air furnace, and they did some modifications to our ductwork and gas piping in connection with a kitchen renovation project. Whereas I have found dealing with most contractors to be a headache, dealing with Northern Comfort is the rare exception. They return your call promptly, give realistic start dates for work-- starting on or before the date given. If they say they are going to do something, they follow thru. If there are changes, they keep you updated. They did a quality job on the duct and gas piping modifications, doing the job efficiently and with minimal disruption to our household. AND, they cleaned up after themselves! None of the usual mayhem and debris that so often comes with having work done. I always hang around when and watch when they do the furnace maintenance in order to learn more about its operation and to understand what the normal issues are. The technician is agreeable, obviously proficient, thorough, and has excellent communication skills. That he has the tech manual at hand and he measures gas pressure to the burners, blower draw, igniter distance, etc, indicate that he is setting the system to spec and not just eyeballing it. I highly recommend Northern Comfort.
