Got a call back within about a half hour at 9pm at night. Brad showed up about a half hour later and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Now it turns out it was just the furnace air intake that was clogged with snow/ice and all he did was take a screwdriver and knock the clog out, but nevertheless I would not have thought to check that so lesson learned.
