Pulled and cleaned ejector pump #2. Both pumps are working at this time.
Boiler no heat call. Found chimney damper motor not engaging and opening damper. Manually opened damper and switched it over to hold open for now. Will need to order new motor. Also customer would like to replace sump pump’s (3) in the sump room/pit. Told Chris and he is going to right up a job for all of the replacement parts that are needed. System is up and running and heating at it should be at this time. Will bill Holly with everything Via Chris. *co number and serial number if boiler in pictures.
Replaced 2’ of copper pipe on cold side of basement laundry tub faucet feed. Pin hole leak.
Sewer and drain cleaning. Floor drains slowly
Service furnace, replaced water panel on humidifier. Sent estimate on replacement inducer motor assembly.
Water backflow annual testing. RPZ preventer failed at the time of the test. Provide an estimate to repair/replace.
Inspected water softener, set up. Sent estimates
Both toilets in women’s bathroom off cafeteria were not working when I arrived. They are both exoflush pressure assist tanks and had sediment filters that were clogged at supply line insert. I pulled inserts and cleared sediment and bled both toilet supplies of sediment. Reinstalled sediment filters and everything is working as should now
Commercial plumbing repair. Frozen water line to the cold side of the lav burst through the wall. I had to remove the entire vanity top and backsplash, disconnect all plumbing to the sink, and pull out. I then had to bust out the block wall 6’ up from the floor to find the burst line. I cut out the bad section of pipe and replaced 6” sections with 2 propress couplings. I had to remove the mirror from the wall to access the copper water line for repair. After the repairs, I tested both hot and cold lines, and they held pressure. I then reinstalled the vanity top and backsplash, connected all plumbing, and tested. I then siliconed a piece of Vat wall covering over the hole I made until a new mirror is installed. Everything is cleaned up, tested, and working as it should.
Installed customer supplied flexible sump line outside.
Water heater repair. A 3-year-old water heater is making a popping noise due to sediment at the bottom. It’s impossible to drain because duct work is right up against the drain. Recommend doing nothing; when replacement is necessary, ensure the drain is accessible on the new unit. Please schedule a quote to excavate and replace the pipe to the septic tank.
Boiler service. Performed a complete flush of the steam system and replaced the sight glass. Will set up a maintenance plan in the spring.
Install a new exhaust fan for the basement bathroom.
