Air conditioning repair. Installed hard start kit that can reduce the strain on your system to start up by as much as 50%. Having a hard start kit can also prolong the life of your system.
Air conditioning repair. Repaired connections on the main capacitor for 2 nd floor AC unit. Unit sounds fine. If noise returns, we will add a hard start kit. NC today.
HVAC service call. The thermostat was not in cooling mode. No charge
Installed customer supplied flush valve on eljer toilet in master bedroom. Toilet was installed by us previously and was customer supplied. Issues since installing about a month after. Will not flush properly. I installed a higher flush valve thinking that would do the trick because the toilet would sometimes flush properly when I ran it over the flush valve to flush so I assumed it needed more water in tank so had customer buy a taller flush valve to install. Still on occasion it is doing the same thing. I Augered toilet and back to back toilet on opposite side of wall is flushing just fine with no issues. Possibly a bad syphon on customer supplied toilet we installed. Recommended to customer he have us install one of our toilets that are not from Menards and he said he is going to see how this fix we did works for him. I also caulked the sump lid free of charge. It has a radon tied into it and we replaced the pump and did not reseal it in the past. Talked to Chris about what to char
Water filter repair. 1/4” poly pipe quick connect coupling was leaking on the discharge line of the RO system when I arrived. New coupling installed and the leak was fixed, but there is a problem with the RO system. It is constantly running full pressure through the discharge line and not the filling system. Problem with filter membrane or discharge valve, or check/ fill valve, I’m assuming. The system is 10+ years old, and I recommend that the customer order a membrane filter and replace it as a start, because that was one of the troubleshooting options if this happens. If a problem occurs after I recommend the installation of the new system
Air conditioning tune-up. Customer renewed annual VIP maintenance programs. Cleaned and serviced both condensing units. Tested all mechanical parts. Found electrical system on 1st floor below acceptable range and corrosion. Replaced the contactor on the 1st and 2nd floor units. Checked refrigerant levels. Those were in the inaccurate efficiency range. Changed both furnace filters that the customer provided. Everything is in accurate working condition at this moment, and systems are operating and cooling as they should be at this time.
Commercial pump service. Tested lift station pumps in the 1-D storage room. Pump 1 is locked. I pulled the pump apart, as it needed to be rebuilt and replace the floats and a high water alarm bell. I reinstalled and completed a pump rebuild with the motor. I would keep the old motor as a spare.
Bathroom plumbing repair. Installed new customer-supplied pop-up drain assembly for upstairs hall bath The master bath toilet is an Eljer toilet with a small tank that does not allow enough water into the bowl to complete the flush cycle. The customer wants to get his own 3” flush valve with a longer fill tube to allow more water into the tank to flush. The tank is currently only flushing about 1.25 gallons if lucky. The customer will call back when he gets the parts for an appointment.

Cleaned and serviced condensing unit. Tested all mechanical parts. Checked refrigerant levels. Everything was in accurate working condition. Refrigerant levels were in accurate efficiency range. Changed furnace filter that customer provided. System is operating and cooling as it should be at this time. Customer renewed maintenance program. They will have both fall and next spring visits prepaid.
