Leak coming on 2 inch main gas line found with gas sniffer and soap test. It was in a bad spot so we had to shut the gas down bleed the gas out so no sparks and cut out bad 2 inch BLk tee. After getting it all put back together we turned the gas on half way and tested for leaks. We then put it full and tested again. No leaks at the moment. Brad hit a conduit line behind the gas line that controls the heater. I believe they are calling an electrician. We came this morning to fix the leaks but as we were setting up the guys came up to us and said they smell gas again even when the gas meter was turned off. We diagnosed multiple things and narrowed it down to one of there machines causing the bad smell. It wasn’t a gas. Nicor came back out and tested things and found that there was a bad regulator out side. We pressure tested the system up to 10 psi and it dropped slowly so the leaks are still prevalent. We talked with there managers and they still want to continue on fixing the leaks asa
Medical center plumbing repair. Check this building to be sanitized. There is one new area that Kyle wants to install 5 sinks in the exam rooms. There are valves we can do this during normal hours. Everything is sanitized, flushed, and working as it should.
Replace the water softener. This is a 1” water feed. Tested for safe operation
Damper was locked up, will check for availability. An HVAC damper is a movable plate or valve located within the ductwork that regulates, redirects, or stops airflow. These devices are crucial for balancing temperatures across different rooms or zones in a home.
Boiler repair. Capped off 2 cast iron radiators, filled the system, and found 2 more broken radiators. Needs complete replacement. Returned and capped another radiator and air checked system, per customer. Refilled the system and started the boiler. No warranty on repairs.
Two furnace tune-ups, safety inspections, and whole-home humidifiers. Tested all mechanical components. Cleaned all sensors. Tested gas valve voltage and inlet/outlet pressures. Cleaned condensation trap and all hoses. Found the ignitor and flame sensor very corroded; the customer agreed it was time to replace them. Replaced faulty humidistat. Everything else is in adequate condition. Replaced the furnace filter provided by the customer. The system is heating and operating properly at this time. The customer renewed the annual VIP service plan.
Installed Pro Series sump pump in the basement. Recommended to install a battery backup sump pump system for added protection of a remodeled basement. Tested the pump for safe operation, cleaned up.
Boiler tune-up and safety inspection. Cleaned and serviced the boiler due to the VIP plan. Replaced ignitor and flame sensor that the customer provided. Cleaned underneath boiler drop pan. The system is clean, heating, and operating properly at this time. The customer will renew the maintenance plan in the spring. Performed free plumbing inspections.
Commercial plumbing repair. Pipe feeding water to the shipping area is frozen. They will try heating the area, and when it thaws, call us to make possible repairs and heat trace the pipe.
HVAC service. The new R32 system runs the blower on the air handler for 5 minutes after power is restarted. Checked all connections and tested; everything looks good.
Steam boiler tune-up and safety inspection. Filled and skimmed the system, removed and cleaned the sight glass. Cycled and tested.
Hot water boiler tune-up and safety inspection.
Water boiler tune-up and safety inspection.
Successfully augered toilet in powder room.
