Just received quote on home generator. On average, $6000.00 higher than other quotes. Have been a PDM customer for some 20+ years and felt service in the past was quite good. With this new quote, in the future I think I should start getting other quotes when needing either heating or ac work.

Anthony has been doing our plumbing and HVAC at the house for years. He was there again today doing a routine AC check. And as always we later felt his visit was actually critical. Turns out there’s a blanket of leaves and dust inside the AC we had no idea of. He took the time to thoroughly clean it. It will save us energy and extend the life of the unit. We always respect and appreciate the work of PDM and their people. Great service.

Brennon was timely, worked hard and helped explain things as he went to assist as I am a new home owner. Unit is running better at this point but I need to monitor to make sure ice buildup does not continue to hold. One comment Brennon left was that the thermostat should be located upstairs as the ventilation is not quite sufficient and so the first floor gets to temperature far earlier than the second floor. I would like a price to relocate the thermostat directly up. Additionally, shortly after hey left, the Honeywell thermostat screen went blank. I tried new batteries, flipping the breaker, flipping the batteries and holding the home button to try to get a factory reset. Not sure why it went dark but would like a call to hopefully fix without a visit.

Drain cleaning. Rodded from cleanout in backyard closest to the house. Broke up clog but it moved and caused another blockage. Rodded from cleanout on the side of the house. The line is open now. Cleanout in back is still holding a little water after going back and running the rod back and forth multiple times, the most likely explanation is a belly in the pipe. If it backs up again using the camera is recommended. Waiving dispatch fee per Dave because Mike was out here rodding earlier this month.
Replaced leaking 40 gallon natural gas water heater with new Bradford White energy efficient water heater unit. Test for safe operation. Clean work area. Recycle old tank.
Drain cleaning. Rodded main from toilet in basement. Pulled back a substitute amount of roots, is open now. Also rodded kitchen sink/floor drain line from floor drain in basement. Customer has $50 couplers. Please send receipt in mail.
Replace kitchen sink drain from under sink to just above basement floor, piping to be done in sch40 pvc. Rod out drain line under floor.
Found leak to dishwasher supply line change valve for compression hook up. No more leak No charge.
Sump pump repair. Found 2” pump with bad float. Customer wanted to replace old pump.
Furnace repair. Replace inducer motor on furnac , clean drain assembly on unit.
Plumbing repair. Drain valve leaking. Replace drain valve. Discover water piping in wall is leaking. Cut hole in wall where janitors tub is in back room. Repair leak on air chamber hot side to janitors tub. Found water leak behind cabinets. Take cabinet off wall, cut hole repair cold water line feed to water heater. Turn water on pull mixing valve under Lav to get hot water to sink. Things I would do in fall to shut this building down to stop damage. 1- replace batteries in thermostat and set to 45* to keep above freezing. Shut breaker off in breaker panel to water heater #14 and 16 240 volt breaker right side of panel. 2- turn water off under sink and open drain valve. 3- flush toilet and install RV antifreeze in bowl and part of tank. 5- remove supply from stop on toilet. 6- remove supplies from hot side on both sinks. Return in spring and reverse to turn back on water.
Pulled old toilet with wall mounted tank in basement. Toilet flange is about 4” below the finished floor, twist and set flange won’t reach down that far to make the connection and there’s a big hole making it impossible to fasten a new flange to the floor. Dave is coming up with an estimate to resolve these issues, possibly jackhammering up the floor and doing a repipe. Will move sink when the new toilet is in place.
Inspected for leak around furnace. Renew plan, cleaned furnace. Replaced 2 sump pumps and one check valve.
Estimate to repair / replace leaking water line.
Replaced whole house water filter element with customer supplied part.
