We were in need of a new unit and not sure if we were making the right decisions. Ragsdale helped us decide and guided us in the right direction. As long as Ragsdale is in business, we won't use anyone else!!!

Found system low on freon tried to add a little freon but pressure would not change. Found blowing leak in the evap coil and bad TXV will need to replace.
New Residential Planned Maintenance For (1) Year.
performed Ragsdale Heating air and plumbing maintenance and cleaning visit.
Prepaid Residential Planned Maintenance Visit.
Completed Gold Heat Pump maintenance/cleaning visit. ODT 40F. All items checked in accordance with fall PM checklist, to include but not limited to: checked operation, emergency heat mode, aux. heat, amp draws, blower, coil, controls, electrical, safeties, temperature rise & inspect visible ductwork on the indoor unit. Checked outdoor electrical, controls, motor, refrigerant charge, defrost cycle, amp draws & inspect coil
Equipment discovered does not match equipment originally discovered. Most likely cause was the sim chips were loose. I took out chips and reinstalled. Problem is gone at this time. Problem may still be in thermostat. If it reoccurs, we may need to replace thermostat.

Second floor system icing due to low refrigerant charge. Located leak on evaporator coil visually (refrigerant oil). Oil also present on top of accumulator at heat pump. Recommend replacing system due to age, high cost of repairs and R-22 Phase out. Added 2 pounds R-22 so customer will have cooling.
Service Call/Diagnostic, system not cooling. Checked for ice on evap coil. Checked refrigerant charge. Suction temp below freezing. Added R-410 but no help. Ran system in heat mode then switched to ac. TXV failed. Replaced TXV system is now cooling properly.
Found that air handler is trying to pull more air through louvered doors that it physically can. Unit was pulling air through the drain and it was creating a knocking sound through the bathtub drain trap as it was pulling air through the bathtub drain.
Service Call/Diagnostic, found drain line clogged, cut line and used nitrogen to clear. Ragsdale can not be responsible for any water damage due to no flood safety protection. Also found filter very dirty and clogged, advised customer to replace. And found evap coil very oily, customer has had to add freon in the past.
No one was there to tell me what system had been doing but I found it 2 lbs low of 410 a refrigerant did leak search and found leak in valve cores replaced valve cores and recharged unit system is cooling at this time
Found blower capacitor was weak . Also system was low of freon. Added just under 4 pounds r22 to the system. No warranty on freon added.
Service Call/ Diagnostic. Changed out ultravation media filter. Replace condensate pump.
