Per request, dispatched our Bakersfield CA HVAC team to retrieve an old freezer that was being replaced by a new unit. Our technicians broke down the old equipment, removed it from the site and disposed of it per guidelines. Service complete.
A health center in Anaheim Hills, California, reported that one of their critical AC units wasn't working. Our technician arrived and determined that he control board had shorted and the thermostat was damaged. Parts were available locally and our tech returned to the site same day to make repairs. And installing both parts, he tested the air conditioner. Unit cycled on and supply temperatures are back to 54 degrees. Space temp comfortable, job complete.
Dispatched a technician to a restaurant in San Diego, California, to investigate their blast chiller not cooling. Upon arrival our tech found the unit running fine. Troubleshooted all components and inspected. Unable to replicate issues reported by customer, no alarms or refrigerant leaks present. Will monitor, but freezer is working at this time.
Responded to a report of a commercial cooler running at high temperature at a pharmacy in Bakersfield, CA. Our technician arrived and found the cooler being stocked. Tested all components and found no issues, determined that the doors to the cooler had been open for a considerable time before arrival and unit was struggling to keep temperature. Site completed stocking and technician washed coils while monitoring temps. Confirmed refrigerator dropped back down to correct temperature and doors were shut and normal use started again.
Our customer in Kern County, California, requested service for a water leak coming from their beverage cooler. Dispatched our local refrigeration technician to inspect. He found that the drain pan had clogged and water had backed up in the drain pan. Cleared and cleaned the pan, mopped up excess water and confirm system is draining normally again. No temperature issues, job complete.
Dispatched our refrigeration tech to a health center in Torrance, CA, to inspect a down freezer. The Traulsen unit was iced over due to two failed sensors. Replaced the sensors and cleared the ice. Confirmed system dropped back down to freezing and is running normally.
A commercial customer in Taft California requested service for their walk-in freezer that was leaking oil and making a loud noise. Upon arrival, our technician inspected the system and discovered that the king valve was leaking. Sourced the part locally and was able replace the valve same day. Cleaned up the oil that had leaked and confirmed the system was operating and the correct temperature. Job complete.
A customer in Visalia, California, reported a bad smell coming from their vents, possibly a dead animal. Our technician opened the vent entrances and checked each opening. No signs of animals inside the vents within reach of our technician. Checked the roof and did find signs of pigeon habitation. Recommended to manager to call pest control company.
