Our customer in Antioch, California, requested service for their handdip ice cream freezer as it was getting too cold on one side, preventing staff from scooping easily. Our technician arrived and started inspection, and while troubleshooting spoke with our customer's facility management company. Tech was informed that both handdips were actually in line to be replaced shortly. After conferring with the onsite manager, our technician left the unit as-is to avoid additional repairs costs since a new freezer was on the way.
Dispatched our refrigeration technician to a pharmacy in Hemet, California, for a unit not keeping temp. Upon arrival found that a vendor supplied system was running high temps. Unable to make repairs due to unit being provided by supply vendor, but did clean coils to help bring down pressures. Coil cleaning was successful, temps dropped to expected -10. Advised MOD if any additional issues to call vendor supplier.
A Merced, CA, customer requested emergency refrigeration service for their Turbo Air cooler that wasn't keeping proper temperature. Upon arrival our technician found the unit running and reading 32, expected temp. Tested main controller, thermostat and tested again RESSAC supplied thermometer. All temps accurate, verified no apparent leak issues or electrical failures. Advised MOD to contact EMS to confirm their readings are accurate versus actual temperature onsite. Job complete.

A cash advance store requested service for their HVAC unit that was no longer heating. Our tech troubleshooted the system, and found that the York unit had tripped the breaker due to a control board intermittently failing. Dispatched our San Francisco area refrigeration technician to a customer reporting that their dairy cooler was freezing product. Our Selma, California area technician responded to a refrigeration request at a pharmacy today. The freezer had been leaking and considerable ice had built up. Ice was melting and refreezing during every defrost cycle, causing water to leak. After inspecting the system, found that the drain tube heater misaligned and not positioned properly in the drain tube. Fixed heater position, confirmed part is running correctly, and cleared ice/leftover water. Freezer is online and leak issues resolved.
Dispatched our technician back to a pharmacy in San Jose, California, to continue installation work on a new split system. Condensing unit was lifted onto roof, and both evaporators mounted. Communication wires installed. Line set will need to be completed and pumps installed. Return work scheduled.
