RESSAC technician responded to a call from a clothing retailer in the Northridge Mall in Salinas, CA. Tech needed to resolve a power usage issue between the lighting and the EMS system. He found that the emergency lighting override switch was in the ON position. Troubleshooted with T-Wave, found connections not communicating via the controller. Switching wiring from U17 to &18, cycled the emergency override to auto and restored communication. Will need to return to replace a faulty controller, but lighting issue should be resolved now.
RESSAC Refrigeration technician received a call to inspect and repair a Masterbilt reach-in cooler that was not holding temperature at a drug store. Inspected the unit and found that the evaporator fan was bad and the evaporator coil was completely iced over. Tech replaced the evaporator fan and deiced the evaporator coil. Tech then proceeded to check the rest of the unit and found no other defective parts. The cooler was restored to proper operation.
RESSAC A/C tech arrived at commercial retail store to inspect a Trane Package Unit. Technician got on the roof to repair communication loss of the unit with the thermostat. He found a wiring connection between Circuit one controlling the contactor had been switched to operate the stage 2 compressor. Tech fixed the wiring issue and called the HVAC controls company managing the unit to ensure proper unit communication. The unit was restored to proper operation.
