Bradley Thomas was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He fixed everything in a timely manner and explained everything going on as well which I appreciated. Would recommend and use this company in the future.
They were very thorough in explaining the work they were doing. The communication before the visit was also detailed, and easy to understand.
Chris is a very friendly and professional person. Takes time to explain everything he is doing.
Booking, scheduling and performance was very good. Even though blockage required additional callout of a boring machine, the completion of the inspection will be credited and performed after the cleanout, to be completed within 2 additional business days.
Chrid was very professional explained everything he was doing to the unit. Gave me a few pointers and things to watch for with the unit.
This company is the BEST HVAC company around and they do great work at a good price. I trust them completely with all my HVAC needs.
Technion was on time friendly and did a fast great job getting our air back on.
Scenic did a difficult retrofit on a home without central air for me. They came up with several options for me and presented the pros and cons of each approach. We moved forward with the install and they did a great job getting it done, doubly so considering the limitations presented by the home and structure! I'll add that they kept me updated each step of the way also, so I was never in the dark as to what was going on and why. I would recommend them to others, and would definitely use them again.
Jim was professional and completed the job, informed me of what was wrong snd what he did. I was very pleased.
The technician arrived on-time and was professional and knowledgeable in recognizing and repairing the problem.
Scenic City Heating and Air always provides great service. I have used then several times and they always provided quick, affordable service.
I had a difficult to diagnose A/C issue but Anthony worked through the possibilities quickly and cooled off the house on a hot summer day. Sandy at the office called when there was a delay from a previous job that affected our arrival time as well. Thank you!
Diagnosis, Capacitor was bad, low on R-22 (Caps were missing on liquid and suction lines)
For this job, I provided proposals for indoor air quality improvements. The customer has an older home that has a lot of dust and debris inside the ductwork. The return air filter grill does not allow the air filter to filter correctly. Customer feels like they’ve had health problems since moving into this home so I proposed that we do a duct cleaning, add an April Aire media filter, add a air scrubber and a protection plan the homeowners will discuss the proposals and get back to us.
Upon arrival I found the outdoor not running. Checked over electrical and found bad capacitor not allowing fan to run. I replaced capacitor and checked system operation. Checked defrost still worked and made sure board hadn’t gone bad. All checked out after replacing capacitor
I was called out to the house because there was a bad smell coming from one of the supply vents. I used my camera to look inside several of the supply vents and did not find the smell. I investigated in the crawlspace and found there is a lot of rodent activity as well as snake skins inside the insulation between the floor joist. I recommend having Complete Animal Removal come out and assess the situation and give a proposal to eradicate animals located roughly for dead rodents. I removed them which got rid of the smell. The ductwork on the main floor is in need of a cleaning. A proposal for duct cleaning, air, purification, and a protection plan will be emailed.
Upon arrival I found a tripped breaker, looking further into it I found the wires shorted out at the compressor terminal. Cut wires back and am going to reconnect to get system back up and going. The compressor was checked to see if it had grounded but there is still resistance through the windings leading me to a good compressor with shorted wiring harness.
Found breaker in sub panel tripped. Reset breaker checked system system operating normally customer needs electrician to look at sub panels. Missing breaker has allowed water to get into subpanel subpanel is very rusty.
Price to remove flue pipe from chimney run out wall and add power thinner
Tech found . 60iwc pressure switch stuck open. Inducer motor pulls 1.8iwc. Goodman 90% split gas furnace in basement. Part was ordered through Ferguson (Zach)
Found water in cabinet of furnace. Would like to come back and re do the drain on furnace as it barely has any fall to drain properly. I Found a rusty screw in a drain line coming off inducer motor ( pics) . when system goes into second stage of heat it has hard time keeping up spitting/sputtering water out of elbow it is tied into. Could be done more effectively. Will put estimate to repair drain line if you choose to revisit this. But tonight I blew out the condensate line to restore full draining. and tested operation on furnace. Seemed to be working well and everything was within its parameters. Gas pressure 3.7 and flames looked good going into heat exchanger.
Replaced fill and flush valve due to age. Flush valve was allowing water to leak from tank into bowl.
Replaced old mercury bulb thermostat with Honeywell T4. Checked operation of heat pump.
Attached to clients connector to gas logs
Found rollout switch, tripping. Heat exchanger not cracked. Flue pipe vented into chimney. Need to vent flue pipe out wall and add power vent created estimate to replace vent and add power vent.
Inspected duct work for repairs and replacement
Upon arrival I found an air ease split heat pump. Went over everything on unit, found dirty coils indoor and out, filthy blower wheel, every supply line in attic is ate up bad from mice. Supply trunk is hard pipe and not affected. Air handler in attic has a sump pump in the drain pan, need to get proper drainage. Heat pump is performing as a heat pump should, electric heat kicks on as needed. Good temperature difference when only in heat pump mode. 2 degree imbalance at tstat sets system into electric heat. Needs serious cleaning indoor and out to perform at its ability, refrigerant pressures not reliable with coils like they are with improper airflow. 5 six inch flex supplies 2 seven inch flex supplies. Will quote all work and email estimates in morning. Waived diagnostic if he goes forward with repairs. Emailed invoice for diag. Told him not to pay until after I talk to him tomorrow about options. Wants price on package unit for crawl space also.
