Brad came out recently to help with a plumbing inspection, water heater drain, and fix a leaky toilet seal and Terry and Hunter came out to install a drain line for our air handler and check/repair related issues. Even though these were separate service calls, all 3 were super helpful, taking time to explain the issue, answer questions, and make sure we saw and were happy with the repairs, showing us pictures when not able to see the actual issue due to location. They also were super fast, scheduling us as quickly as possible. We really appreciate them!

Scenic did a difficult retrofit on a home without central air for me. They came up with several options for me and presented the pros and cons of each approach. We moved forward with the install and they did a great job getting it done, doubly so considering the limitations presented by the home and structure! Found tripped roll out, heat exchanger heavily rusted. Blows back lighter flame with blower on, cracked heat exchanger. Need to check warranty status and part availability.
Drain off of furnace never was hooked up on install,redone drain and hooked up furnace drain.
Diagnosis, Capacitor was bad, low on R-22 (Caps were missing on liquid and suction lines)
For this job, I provided proposals for indoor air quality improvements. The customer has an older home that has a lot of dust and debris inside the ductwork. The return air filter grill does not allow the air filter to filter correctly. Customer feels like they’ve had health problems since moving into this home so I proposed that we do a duct cleaning, add an April Aire media filter, add a air scrubber and a protection plan the homeowners will discuss the proposals and get back to us.
Upon arrival I found the outdoor not running. Checked over electrical and found bad capacitor not allowing fan to run. I replaced capacitor and checked system operation. Checked defrost still worked and made sure board hadn’t gone bad. All checked out after replacing capacitor
Check on inducer motor. Got him going by lubing bearings for time being. Call warehouse Monday morning to get price on replacement inducer. System in operation again as of right now.
Add Freon and maintenance plan, checked for leaks found no leaks but costumer wanted Freon and maintenance program
I was called out to the house because there was a bad smell coming from one of the supply vents. I used my camera to look inside several of the supply vents and did not find the smell. I investigated in the crawlspace and found there is a lot of rodent activity as well as snake skins inside the insulation between the floor joist. I recommend having Complete Animal Removal come out and assess the situation and give a proposal to eradicate animals located roughly for dead rodents. I removed them which got rid of the smell. The ductwork on the main floor is in need of a cleaning. A proposal for duct cleaning, air, purification, and a protection plan will be emailed.
For the gas package carrier 4 ton system. I found low voltage electrical wiring needing to be replaced. A few feet of wire needs to be re ran to prevent low voltage short in future. Heat exchanger looks good on gas package system, gas pressure and inducer motor both where in specs also. Gas package system could use an indoor coil cleaning likely due to long filter change rates. Will discuss with cst about changing more often to prevent dirty indoor coil. Blower wheel is fair, bearings felt good. Upstairs air handler in good shape, says he has put Freon in it before, didn’t see any serious signs leading me to believe it would leak at indoor coil but still likely where that would be. Looked over all motor amperage and compressor amperage, checked temperature of line sets and found system heating effectively. Checked defrost and heat strip operation, both good. Pan in attic has secondary drain going into it but it does have a working safety switch in pan in attic. Could add secondary floa
Upon arrival I found a tripped breaker, looking further into it I found the wires shorted out at the compressor terminal. Cut wires back and am going to reconnect to get system back up and going. The compressor was checked to see if it had grounded but there is still resistance through the windings leading me to a good compressor with shorted wiring harness.
Replaced wax seal in mother’s room as it was compromised. Same for mens right hand stall. Replaced left hand mens stall as the toilet was broken beyond repair. Replaced basket strainer in kitchen. Replaced toilet seat in womens. Replaced kinked flex on hot side of water heater.
After inspection found the furnace non operational, The installation would include a 3.0 Ton split gas furnace with AC and R19 Blown insulation, as this will help efficiency and help to hold cooling and heating temperatures. Replaced fan control board After performing our performance and safety evaluation of your system, I was able to determine what caused the breakdown and come up with some solutions to not only fix it, but help keep it from happening again.
Found breaker in sub panel tripped. Reset breaker checked system system operating normally customer needs electrician to look at sub panels. Missing breaker has allowed water to get into subpanel subpanel is very rusty.
At time of arrival toilet fill valve in bedroom bath was leaking most likely due to debris and high pressure supplied to home. In turn wax seal was leaking through to crawlspace. Pulled toilet inspected flange and flange was in good condition. Flange was recently replaced with new seal. Seal was installed incorrectly. Reinstalled toilet and replaced fill valve to resolve issues. Water pressure is extremely high and recommend prv installation/replacement curb stop before water meter dose not shut fully and will need to be repaired by AHJ After investigating crawlspace leak was found to be on toilet upstairs in bedroom bath. Tech heard water running in pipes indicating fill valve of toilet was leaking and overflowing tank and draining through overflow. Normally fill valve replacement is all required to remedy this, but since water was coming through floor this also indicated the wax seal for the toilet has failed and possibly flange. Toilet will need to be removed from flange and flang
