Indoor unit door was not secured from maintenance on Saturday which caused the door to pop open and the door switch to release stopping the unit from running. Put indoor doors on correctly and sealed the unit to make sure this does not happen again. Need to follow up with technician for training.
maintenance: performed heating maintenance on gas furnace. System achieving 34 degree temperature rise in heat. System is heating normally at this time.
Maintenance: indoor unit was functioning properly. Blower motor amps were in range. Cleared drain lines and poured bleach down them as well. Re glued union fitting that was not glued properly. Duct work is getting old and showing signs of wear. Some runs go from flex duct to hard pipe and are not hung up properly. Recommend looking into replacement in the future. Outdoor unit. Unit was also preforming properly. Sub cool and pressure were in range according to the data plate. Capacitor and amp draws were in range as well. System producing a 17.5 split at this time. Conducted duct fogging as well.
AC repair: balanced airflow in bedrooms and living room to better serve the rooms.
Maintenance: Heater is operating normally at this time.
Run capacitor on condensing unit is dead. Replace capacitor, compressor is kicking on. Amp draws on compressor are high, high side pressure is also high, likely due to restrictions in the system due to the equipment age. High amps draws also due to age. Recommend replacing equipment.
