Sound system with no freon in it asked homeowner if you want me to do a leak search homeowner refused
Customer was expecting s mini split to be cheap.
Ballpark given, customer is just shopping and will let me know if interested in the near future.
Found zone damper off of plenum screwed zone damper two plenum retaped zone damper and sealed zone damper
Check blower motors and amperage on blower motors replace media filters checked all electrical connections check primary drain lines found downstairs primary drain line plugged up blue drain line check secondary drain lines and pans checked all ductwork check condenser fan motors and compressor amperages check capacitors and contactors check Freon levels
Upon arrival unit was running, turned power on and off 10 times to replicate issue. Unit is from 1996, after multiple attempts to replicate we had 1 failure which could be due to Board, Negative pressure switch or gas valve & we check continuity and voltage on items with no issue. Recommend replacing due to age as failures will likely continue.
repair: found hot surface ignitor damaged and unable to ignite. Exhaust motor is grinding in the motor bearings, indicating rust and imminent seizing of the motor. Door switch to the unit has been removed. Recommend replacing ignitor, exhaust motor, and door switch. After replacing ignitor there could be other issues with the heating system, further down the sequence of events. Replaced ignitor, system is heating now, will need to return with the exhaust motor. Exhaust motor has been replaced. System is heating at this time.
Repair: performed diagnosis on split heat pump.
Installed 4 Ton Coil, drain pan, transition & added freon.
Repair: furnace ignitor was damaged, not heating and igniting flame. Flame sensor had buildup on it, potentially causing no flame signal to register when flame was actually present. Replaced ignitor and flame sensor, and system is heating normally at this time.
Maintenance: performed heating system maintenance on upstairs and downstairs furnaces. Both systems achieving 35 degree temperature rise.
Ac repair: outdoor unit running high amp draws. Recommend replacing unit due to the age of the equipment. Customer has equipment he is looking to supply for installation with our labor. Spoke to Joseph to give estimate for replacement.
AC repair: upstairs ac is not achieving set point. Achieving 13 degree temperature split, which is low. System is low on refrigerant which indicates a leak in a coil. Recommend looking into options for replacement of the system due to the age. We can charge the system with refrigerant and perform a leak search to find the leak and replace the leaking coil or condenser.
