This was a routine semi-annual checkout. And he said everything is mechanically fine. I hope that is the case. He did say that my ducts and the system plenum is very dusty and he is recommending a cleaning and installation of a UV system. He indicated it could affect the life of the system. He could be right, although he didn't offer a detailed explanation about the problem and the value of the fixes. He e-mailed me 3 quotes for different levels of additions to my system, which I will study.
Service call on 12/19/19 On arrival customer explained to me about the error codes 69 inverter intrnal fault and 97 Vdc over voltage lockout set unit to call for heat no error codes checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps checked blower motor checked coil checked air filter checked drain checked all other electrical connections in door unit also checked condenser unit outdoor checked electrical connections checked compressor found the inverter is bad also I suggested to replace the compressor to avoid future problems I gave quote for customer but customer he doesn’t want the repair we need to talk to the customer is about the price unit is operating at this time. Collected $248 for diagnostic on C.C
Return visit on 12/19/19 On arrival turn the unit off from disconnect box installed BLUE TUBE UV LIGHTS rewire low voltage wires checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps checked all other electrical connections measured supply and return air temp unit operating normal at this time Collected balance of $407 on C.C on file
Arrived to inspect unit for heat season maintenance inspected and documented all findings. Found bad contacter for condensor not making full contact sometimes not every time.showed customer but he does not want to replace. Job complete
Arrived onsite to inspect units for fall season. Inspected units and documented found all unit operations to be operating properly.
Installed customers warrantied water heater. Tied onto existing connections and tested for operation. We charged the customer an extra 127.20 due to northeastern for the naeca warranty charge.
Customer wants his warratied water heater installed. We will go get and install water heater as per customer. We will not supply water heater if payment is needed up front for warranty transfer it will be customers responsiblity to cover said water heater for installation. Monthly charge and install of water heater. collected deposit of 196.83.
Replaced contactor and checked voltage readings ensuring flowing correctly.
Upon arrival found downstairs system operating normal, found contactor burnt, recommend replacing. reusable filter doing poor job at filtering and starting to see signs on dust and microbial growth. Upstairs system coil very dirty with bacterial growth, restricting air flow and forcing system to work harder. Recommend replacing reusable filters with disposable at a minimum but recommend using high quality air filtration and air purification. Indoor coil needs to be cleaned and would recommend also having duct cleaned. Contactor to be covered under manufacturer warranty. Customer would like copy of warranty information from office. Customer would like to have coil cleaned and contactor replaced pending further discount from office.
Upon arrival system running to spec with temps/pressures/amp draws. Found run capacitor for compressor below allowable variance. Rated 40 actual 35.9. Suggest replacing, customer prefers to wait until next year. Customer renewed service agreement, first visit tbd.
COMPLETED THE REMOVAL OF THE HUMIDIFIER.
