Same Technician

EJ did a very professional job in a timely manner. He said it would take 4 hours, and so it did. He also kept me updated on what he was doing. And he set up the system so that it would cool the house without over-stressing the unit. I'm glad he was with me throughout this whole ordeal - losing A/C in the middle of the summer. This is no reflection on EJ, but it surprised me that it took 5 business days to get the replacement part.

Found system frozen completely de-iced equiptment found evap fan motor has failed. Will put a repair in for evap blower motor.

Upon my arrival I found system frozen this is a new install installed a week ago. This is also a pancake type unit. I deiced the system. Further investigation shows system is slightly low on charge from Install. I have added approximately 2 pounds of 410 refrigerant to the system to make operational. The system is operating as it should at this time. I checked all connections the system does not appear to be leaking refrigerant.

Preformed prepaid maintenance on two Lennox split heat pump units, model and serial numbers match in the system. Replaced 2 filters down stairs. Upstairs units need 14x20 MERV filters replaced. Crawl space unit needs new 20x25x5 filter replaced as well. Cleaned coils and cleaned drain lines. Checked unit amp draws slightly higher than unit required running and start amps. This can cause compressor ware. And surging on the compressor. Units would both benefit from a compressor saver kit (99.00 ea.) to allow normal amp run to compressors. Inspected both systems air handler units and found substantial growth forming inside both units. This is an air quality issue. Both are nits would benefit from whole system air purifiers. These units would kill pre-existing growth and prevent any new growth from occurring. Would also kill pathogens to small for the normal filter to catch. Other than stated in this invoice all other systematic components are working properly at this time.

Performed 2nd tune up on system. Air handler Is covered in bacteria. Coils are also rusting. System is 16 years old running off r22. Outdoor coil fins are brittle and falling apart. Client is interested in getting an estimate for replacement. Client declined renewal at this time.

Found thermostat set to heat set to cool. The indoor unit came on. Tried to get to a/h in attic no platform and could not fit through rafters to get to air handler but found 30 amp bus fuse blown on compressor replaced. The compressor starting amps are much greater than fuses limits but the amps comes down to around 8 amps which fuse can handle. So either you invest in some 30 a,p bus fuses and a fuse puller or invest in new units. condenser is on and running and cooling.

On my arrival I replaced the condenser coil, biflo filter drier, and defrost sensor. The extra parts were provided with the replacement coil. I performed a nitrogen pressure test on the system at 300 psi for 30 minutes. I vacuumed the system to 450 microns and held for 45 minutes. Reassembled the condenser and started the system. I added 4 pounds of r-410a refrigerant to make system operational. The system is operating with a 18° split. I checked the drain also and brushed the trap. The system is operating as it should @this time.

For both systems: checked and cleaned coils, checked and cleaned drain line, added drain tablets for drain line clog prevention, checked filters (customer changes regularly), delta t for both systems was in line with factory recommendations. Checked and cleaned burner assembly and igniter for downstairs unit. Pressures and capacitors for both systems were in line with factory recommendations. Systems are both running as they should at this time.

Performed 1st SSA t/u. Delta T: -17°. Tested SS2, and made sure electrical connections were tight. No water or rust in overflow pan. Recommended UV light to fight bacterial growth. Cleaned the evaporator and condenser coils. Cleared the primary drain line. Checked the refrigerant levels(meet manufactures specifications). Checked the dual run capacitor(testing in range). System is operating as it should.
