Upstairs shower tub leaks when in use. Thompson found shower neck was loose. Thompson plumbing added Teflon tape put back original shower neck. Ran water to test. No leaks found. Replaced blower motor and module. Tested the system and it is functioning.
Arrived for no cool. Found system low on refrigerant. Due to type of refrigerant and condition of unit it is recommended for replacement. Ac 11 years old. Furnace 19 years old.
Preformed a pressure test at the homes hose bib and got a reading of 50 psi. We could not recreate the whistling sound that the customer had told us about. Pressure regulator looks to be semi new.
Inspection of the system upon arrival showed the condensing unit running but the indoor unit fan was not. When disconnecting the communication wires to the fan motor I noticed one of the wires was not fully seated in the connector. Reseated the connector and tested the system. System functioned in all modes (heating, cooling and fan)
Installed wireless thermostat and a secondary drain line safety switch. Tested all system functions. System now operates (fan,heat,cooling).
Communication between module and thermostat is not functioning recommend replacement.
Primary limit switch opened several times then went into a soft lock out. Filter was dirty and the home only has four vents if one vent is closed in combination with a dirty filter the system is going to overheat.
Estimate for a new furnace and the addition of ac. Tested the system from thermostat three times and had no issues.
Repaired leak and replaced the filter drier. Pressure tested system, pulled system into a vacuum and recharged the system with the factory charge. Tested system and took a delta t of 19 degrees. System operates within mfg parameters but visual inspection of the condenser coil showed damage, not an issue as of now but a potential issue in the future.

Heating and cooling maintenance (system inspection). Evaluation of the system showed nothing wrong with the system. It functions well for its age. I would recommend system replacement as it is over 30 yrs old and repairs would be costly if the parts are even available. Service solans beach.
