Thanks for coming out quickly, and doing a good job figuring out issue. It was also very nice to speak to a live person on the phone when scheduling the service.
Bryan was unfriendly and dismissive of the homeowners and certainly did not want to do business with us. His estimate was not filled in.
Ty went above and beyond to get our AC back and running. He immediately diagnosed the issue and had the part on hand to make an instant repair.
I called after hours on Friday, and got a return call first thing Saturday morning, and was promised that someone would be out that day. Will showed up that afternoon, and did the job with a smile. we couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you, Will and Thompson!

Ran a pressure test of the house and also a pressure test of the Watermain found no leak pressure test was holding. I even checked at the meter and I used my gauge and I inspected all around. I do see some staining in the garage, but that might be from prior.
20+ y.o clients called us out today due to AC not properly cooling home. Systems are operational upon arrival but no cooling from vents. usually an indication of a failed secondary motor control or refrigerant leak. Secondary motor control failed on compressor side pulling zero out of 80 µF. Replaced component and cycled system. System is now operational and cooling the home. Advised clients be wary of major repairs going forward due to the age of the system. Clients are interested in getting plumber out to look at leak in garage. Clients elected to sign up for maintenance plan. Thank you for trusting Thompson with your heating, cooling and plumbing needs.
Client called us out today due to no cooling. Cycled system. Outdoor condenser is grinding. Usually an indication of a failed secondary motor control or failed motor. Secondary motor control failed on fan side. Replaced component and cycled system. System is now operational and cooling. Thank you for trusting Thompson with your heating, cooling and plumbing needs.
Came and gave estimate for replacing water heater
Clients called us out today due to no cooling for downstairs. Cycled cooling. No airflow whatsoever getting to downstairs. System is a 3 1/2 ton on a 3500 square-foot home 2 zone. Upstairs zone works fine and is properly cooling. Inspected condenser, secondary motor control is within spec. Hooked up refrigerant gauges and found pressures to be in manufacturer specifications, this would indicate there is an issue with the damper for the downstairs. Client stated home inspector was having issues with damper as well. Zoning board is sending proper voltage to damper but no movement. This would indicate the damper is the issue and would need to be replaced. Parts house is closed. Will reach out on Monday. Thank you for trusting Thompson with your heating, cooling and plumbing needs.
Open stucco above front door to find three-quarter copper pipe leaking had to cut out section and repair. Turn back water on and test fittings. I did suggest a whole house pipe because of the age and the piping is not good and everything is corroded
6 y.o Client called us out today due to system not properly cooling home. Upon arrival found outdoor condenser non-operational. Contactor is engaging from thermostat call. Insufficient voltage from one disconnect leg. Issue without side power. Client would need to call electrician to find source of issue. Electrical insight (760)3049070. Thank you for trusting Thompson with your heating, cooling and plumbing needs.
Client called us out today to look at airflow issues for one side of the home. Master bedroom is getting a majority of airflow and backside of home with three guest rooms is getting very little. After inspection found there is no proper Plenum to distribute airflow due to original house build. Looking at the possibility of adding a zoning system. If zoning system is not possible, dampeners would need to be added. We will reach out to client when a solution can be determined.

No further recommendations at this time.
Client called us out today due to system not properly cooling master bedroom. Another tech had been out earlier this week and was able to get the system to work for a few days. Outdoor condenser is operational but no cooling is taking place. Secondary motor control for compressor is within spec pulling a 67 out of 70 µF. Hooked up refrigerant gauges and found compressor was completely stagnant with no push to pull. This would indicate the compressor is the issue and would need to be replaced. Client stated Maytag system had refrigerant leak issues in the past. Due to the state and age of the system and what would be required for repairs advised client replace with more reliable model. Client has agreed to move forward with system replacement. Will bring out portable cooler tomorrow. Install date scheduled for August 1st. Thank you for trusting Thompson with your heating, cooling and plumbing needs.

2 y.o Clients called us out today due to water draining out of side of home. Usually an indication of a primary condensation line backing up. Another company had installed system and client refuses to have them come out to fix issue. After opening attic access, found flue pipe completely disconnected from furnace. Explained to clients this was a major health and safety issue. Does not look like previous company tried to screw in flue pipe. Vinyl tubing underneath sink with a major kink. Blew out line with nitrogen tank. Water is still finding its way into secondary drain pan. Found water leaking into secondary drain pan, indication of a crack in primary drain pan. Systems have multiple code violations. Manager will write up repair list and email to client. Thompson reserves the right to disqualify itself if repairs cannot be guaranteed.
