Easton di a terrific job in servicing my furnace. Very professional.

Easton, your service rep., serviced my furnace this past week. He was very professional and efficient, completing my service in a timely manner. He should be considered a valued employee. He also noted the possibility of a future replace of a part in the furnace that tends to ware within a certain period of time.

Response from Western Heating & Air Conditioning (Lehi):

I responded to a no heat call today. Apron arrival Travis informed me that the crawl space had flooded and convert the furnace half way up with water and that when he found it he shut power and gas off. Upon inspection i found that the furnace is a natural draft and even though i could not find a manufacture date on it i suspect its form at least the 1980s. When I opened the system up i found the board was covered in mud along with everything else. I cleaned it off as best i could and found water damage on it. Travis had me try and fire it up, i was able to get the flame lit but the blower wouldn’t come on due to either water damaged board of the motor it’s self being water damaged. Ultimately i recommended replacement of the unit due to age and damage. Travis decide to have a comfort adviser come out and give him a price on a new furnace and potentially an AC add on. The furnace is sitting on the gourd in the crawl space and due to the way the water got in i suspect that it

Call no heat. Unit throwing a fault 23 or pressure switch remaining closed on arrival. Blew out pressure switch lines and checked pressure switch remained close. Pulled open plunger inside pressure switch to make sure no water or other debris found in it. Blew it out and put it back together system started to run after this was done checked multiple times to verify appropriate opening and closing it did fault again but repeated process to make sure no water or debris and found it’s way into the pressure switch hoses. While letting equipment run for several minutes trying to verify pressure switches, system through a new fault code 33 or high limit fault. Blower ran for several minutes to cool equipment down shut off and fault 23 returned until manually checking once again. Inducer is pulling 0.95 inWC more than enough for pressure switch rating of 0.30 inWC. Pressure switch is sticking one way or the other as far as closed and open. Pressure switch is bad. Replaced pressure switch.

I responded to a humidifier call. Upon inspection I found that the board in the humidifier control was fried. I gave Maggie options on replacing it with a basic one or the same unit she has, she said she wanted to talk to her husband first. I signed them up on WSC, they want me to return to do the tune up on the furnace and will decide which state they want. Furnace was running when I left, humidifier was not. I returned today to do the tune up and install the humidifier control. From the tune I found that the capacitor was bad and the gas pressure was high causing the furnace to burn to hot. I turned the gas pressure down and Maggie had me replace the capacitor today. The filter was also fairly dirty and should be changed out in about a week. That size of filter should be changed out every 3 months Furnace was running when I left.

I came to this residence for a callback on a tuneup. The complaint was that the furnace continue to run after I had left and would not turn off. When I arrived I checked the thermostat and found that the fan had been moved to the on setting. I moved the setting to auto and heard the fan turned off. I turned the furnace on and verified that it turned on when it was above the current temperature of the room, and then I turned it back to 73° At which point I heard the furnace turned off and the fan continue to run for 1 to 2 minutes before the fan turned off as well. It is believe that I moved the fan setting during the tuneup and it was returned to its previous setting and is operating correctly no further action was needed.

I performed a furnace tuneup on one system. I completed a furnace tuneup health report card which I photographed and gave the physical copy to the customer. The system is less than one year old. During the tuneup I found that everything was operating correctly and the way I would expect it to operate at only one year old. Check the heat exchangers and check for carbon monoxide in the house I found that the heat exchangers we’re not showing signs of cracking and there was no carbon monoxide entering the home through the supply vents. At this point time I do recommend a warranty protection package which includes a surge protector and a wet switch to help protect the warranty on the system as it is brand new. The customer was advised of this but decided not to move forward with the warranty protection. I watch the furnace run for 10 to 15 minutes before leaving and an operating correctly before I left.

Preformed a furnace tune up everything looks good the blower is starting to get some build up, it’s not bad. The static pressure is high, the best way to fix this issue is add a return. I had changed the air filter 16x25x1 Furnace was running when I left

Today I came out for two furnace tune ups. The first one was in the attic and it was a 2010 Bryant. The unit is overall, functioning really well. While going through just about everything in the system tested within manufacturing standards. Next I moved on to the basement unit which we installed last year. The system is performing exactly the way it should. I recommended a surge protector to keep the system under warranty moving forward. Thank you for having us out today!

I performed a furnace tuneup on one system. I completed a health report card which I photographed and provided the physical copy to the customer. During the tuneup I found that everything was operating correctly and within factory specifications. I did find that the furnace did not have a warranty protection package to include a surge protector and a wet switch. The customer stated that she wanted the tuneup done to help protect her warranty I advised her of the warranty protection package and that it would help protect her warranty if the system was damaged by a surge or any water damage. The customer did not want to move forward with action at this time. I did inspect the heat exchangers which did not show any signs of cracking or breaking checked the supply air for carbon monoxide and found that no carbon monoxide was entering the home. I watched the furnace run for 10 to 15 minutes before leaving and it was operating correctly when I left.
