Upon arrival inspected system and found inducer motor was seized and not operating. Quote replacement inducer motor and test run system, furnace blower not cycling after heat up cycle. Blower getting power but will not come on. Capacitor 10mfd @ 10mfd motor bad and needs replaced. Will have to return tomorrow to replace furnace blower motor. Remove and replace blower motor test run heat. Clean blower wheel and housing of dust buildup due to electronic air filter. No concerns post repair
Gas heating preventative maintenance performed Check filter - 16x25x1 clean Clean flame sensor Inspect burners - no concerns Ohm test igniter: 54.6 Inspect wiring for loose connections and/or hot spots - no concerns Check humidifier pad: n/a Inspect exhaust flu - 80% no concerns Set thermostat for heat Check amp draw on blower motor: 3.2 Check amp draw on inducer motor:0.6 Check delta T - 49° Furnace is in optimal running conditions
Remove and replace Goodman single stage gas valve due to unit not staying on. With power continuing to valve
Preventative maintenence inspection on Carrier high efficiency furnace. 20x25x4 air filter is new today. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor ohms. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Run test unit in heating mode. Initial startup shows furnace operating with 3.8inwc of gas supply. This is at the top of the range and can cause short-cycling. Adjusted gas pressure to 3.0inwc at the low end of the range. This will prevent short cycling and allow the furnace to run longer and more evenly heat the house. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested good. Pvc flue vents in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. System is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter.

System was satisfying, desired temperature upon arrival. Inspected system and found no errors present. Homeowner informed me that furnace was back in a code one when he had to reset it. Informed homeowner that we will have to order the P1 pressure switch. To resolve issue due to a failed switch. Inspected drain and everything was clear and inducer motor was not pulling high amps. It was staying at 2.4 operational. Rated 2.7 Fla. unable to quote tonight due to being passed Goodman hours.
Basement East system is frozen solid. Turn fan on and will return for diagnosis once unit has thawed out.
Replacement warranty. Upon arrival, thermostat was in off mode. Inspected furnace for any obvious issues and found d that the furnace control board was not being powered. Removed door and pushed in door switch to check for power. With door switch pushed in by hand, the system came on. Put bottom door back on and noticed that the door was not pushing the door switch in all of the way as the door switch was hanging lower than it should be. Adjusted door switch for proper height and put door back on. With door on, system now has power. Turned thermostat to heating to check for any other issues. None found or suspected. Bob mentioned he would like a quote to install a ductless mini split in the garage. Photos on file of furnace for humidifier install, aswell as interior and exterior photos for mini split install.
Cycle system and found intermittent blower speed operation. Repaired blower speed electrical connections and blower is operating correct at this time. Returned system to normal operation.
Upon arrival, system was off. Test ran operation through jumper wire on control board. Tested gas pressure and temperature rise as the mentioned 4 flash code indicates an airflow issue and/or overheating. Gas pressure on initial startup and at 3.9inwc when the system specifications are 3.2-3.8inwc. Set gas pressure to 3.2inwc. System was still on the higher end of the temperature rise range of 40-70F at 65F. After some further testing, it was found that the bypass humidifier does not have an airflow damper installed, nor the inner bracket with a humidifier pad. This is allowing an excessive amount of hot supply air directly back into the system artificially raising supply temp and continues to cause it to trip on limit switch even when running within temperature rise specs. Used tape to seal off humidifier pipe to block airflow, and bumped blower speed to Med-Hi from Med to get the temperature rise more towards the middle of the temperature rise. With all current settings, system is
