We have been a customer of Westin Air for four years now and recently had our old HVAC system replaced by Westin Air. They are the most professional HVAC company we’ve ever had with outstanding service and technical excellent. When I had a question about a new sound from our new system when turning on the furnace, Wes the owner personally came to the house to check it out (the sound was normal to the new system). What service! If you have any HVAC needs, call Westin Air.

Fault codes erase themselves after 72 hours, no stored fault codes upon arrival Found inducer and condensate trap gaskets leaking water inside the furnace Removed inducer and condensate trap Flushed trap with water Replaced trap gasket Resealed inducer seals with RTV Blower is clean 20x25x1 Filter is in good shape Pulled flame sensor and cleaned Run tested furnace High fire gas pressure set to 3.2"wc, Temperature rise 46⁰ Low fire gas pressure set to 1.3"wc, temperature rise 41⁰ No water leaks present at this time Furnace is operating perfectly within factory specifications at this time
Preventative maintenence inspection on Tempstar high efficiency furnace running in great condition. 20x25x4 air filter in good condition. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Run test unit in heating mode from thermostat. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested good. Pvc flue vents in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. System is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter. Renew silver maintenence plan.
ABC board failed Need replacement under parts warranty
Replace arma-flex on refrigerant line and thumb-gum on flue vent and lineset penatrations to seal gaps.
System flashing code 5 on ignition control board (ignition lockout) Reset power and burners fired up reliably on the first attempt Removed flame sensor (did not need cleaned) and cleaned it anyway Burners are crossing over ignition properly Every attempt to ignite the burners was successful Checked for loose wiring during operation to spark igniter, gas valve, control board, and flame sensor Nothing interrupted operation Tried to duplicate the fault code 5 by disconnecting the pressure switch, this trips a fault code 6 Inspected heat exchanger and filters No issues found with either Cannot find true cause for ignition lockout It could be a control board issue. Upon arrival, removed W wire at the board and it did not clear the fault the way it is supposed to. Recycling power to the unit cleared the fault. If problem persists, control board replacement may be needed System operating properly at this time
Perform preventative maintenence inspection on 1999 Bryan standard efficiency furnace running in good condition despite age. 16x25x4 air filter is in new condition. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor. Visual inspection of burners. Check humidifier pad. Test run operation of furnace in heating operation. Initial startup shows an unusual noise from the inducer motor. Suspect that the jnternal bearings are starting to fail. Inducer motor should be replaced sooner than later to avoid a non operational emergency. Quote for inducer motor will be emailed over. While operational, all other aspects of the system tested withing specifications. Blower motor, temperature rise, and gas valve are all good. No issues other than the inducer motor where found or suspected and system is currently operational.
Performed heating maintenance on a 2022 Carrier 80% efficient single stage natural gas furnace 16x25x1 filter is in good condition Blower is clean Burners in good shape Pulled flame sensor and cleaned Checked gas pressure and temperature rise Opened fresh air damper Motor Amp draws are in specification No gad leaks detected Flue pipe in good shape 0ppm carbon monoxide reading during furnace operation No concerns found on today's visit
Performed heating maintenance on a 2016 80% efficient single stage ICP natural gas furnace 16x25x4 filter is still good (there is a spare next to the furnace) Pulled and cleaned flame sensor Blower capacitor still measured 7.7mfd Blower wheel clean Burners in good shape Gas pressure 3.8"wc Temp rise 48⁰ Motor Amp draws are within specification 0ppm carbon monoxide detected Flue pipe in good shape No gas leaks detected No concerns found on today's visit
Replace blower motor and test run operation in multiple speeds to test for previous irregular speed changing. No issues noticed while test running.
Replace HEPA filters and UV bulbs on all systems Left a full set of additional HEPA maintenence kits Install intake condensate drain coupling on the in-law suite furnace
Preventative maintenence inspection on two Climate Master Trilogy variable capacity communicating systems running in great condition. Air filters for both units are in clean condition. Performed visual inspection on all components including vut not limited to lower compressor/electrical compartment, upper blower/auxiliary heat strip compartment, and immediate connections for ground loop and hot water generation circuit. No issues are found or suspected from visual inspection. Performed a test operation of electric auxiliary heat strips to verify proper operation. All electric heat strips are operating properly and within specs for Amp draw. Performed operwtion test of systems in geothermal heating with no issues found or suspected. Performed heat of extraction on both systems. Both syste,s are operating properly and within specifications for heat of extraction based on air temperature rise, and ground loop temperature and pressure drop. Compressors tested within range with no issues su
Performed 2 system geo thermal heating maintenance Checked ground loop water levels Checked air filters Replaced first floor humidifier water panel Found that humidifier water solenoid is stuck open, need to replace solenoid Checked blowers Checked drain lines Checked fault codes Run tested systems Checked Arzel zone function and explained operation Set dehumidifier to 55% No water leaks found on either system Ground loop connections are good Other than the humidifier solenoid, no concerns found on today's visit
Replace existing b-vent termination through roof Install new 5" B-Vent pipe from joint in attic and route through roof with new cap, collar and flashing.
Preventative maintenence inspection on Trane standard efficiency gas furnace running in great condition. 20x25x4 air filter in decent condition. Check again in 1-2 months. Humidifier pad is new today. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor. Visual inspection of burners. Run test unit in heating mode. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested good. Galvanized B-vent is in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. Test ran humidifier operation. All systems are operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter.
Upon arrival, system is locked out on low pressure code. Unit fault history has a number of low pressure and fp1 sensor error codes indicating low refrigerant charge. Tested refrigerant pressure and found 0.7psi in the system. The system has had a major blowout. Perform leak search in attempt to find refrigerant leak on Waterfurnace 5 Series package system. Could not pinpoint leak but was able to isolate the leak to somewhere in the outer wall of the domestic hot water generator coil. Visible oil on and around the area hinted to the location. Infrared sniffer was picking it traces of refrigerant from the area but could not pinpoint with leak detector gel. Hot water generator coil, aka desuperheater coil, will need replaced. Called Waterfurnace for warranty status and availability. Part is covered under warranty, but labor and refrigerant are not. Prepared quote for replacement. System can currently be ran in emergency heating mode for heat.
