We have been a customer of Westin Air for four years now and recently had our old HVAC system replaced by Westin Air. They are the most professional HVAC company we’ve ever had with outstanding service and technical excellent. When I had a question about a new sound from our new system when turning on the furnace, Wes the owner personally came to the house to check it out (the sound was normal to the new system). What service! If you have any HVAC needs, call Westin Air.

Upon arrival inspected system and found inducer motor was seized and not operating. Quote replacement inducer motor and test run system, furnace blower not cycling after heat up cycle. Blower getting power but will not come on. Capacitor 10mfd @ 10mfd motor bad and needs replaced. Will have to return tomorrow to replace furnace blower motor. Remove and replace blower motor test run heat. Clean blower wheel and housing of dust buildup due to electronic air filter. No concerns post repair
50a fuse failure on 240v circuit. Heat strips are not getting proper power. Replaced fuses with non-fused connections since main breaker is rated properly. Test run two remaining heat strips. Both are pulling approximately 20A and within range. System is operwtingnin both geothermal and auxiliary at this time.
Upon arrival, inspected system and found inducer motor was seized. Pull inducer motor remove debris from housing and free motor by hand. Bearings are extremely stiff with age of unit and the unlikelihood of getting a motor available today, Oiled motor and test ran system with current motor. Got system operational temporarily will have to return and replace motor or replace whole system if customer prefers alternative route.
Preventative maintenence inspection on Carrier air handler. Upon arrival, system was operating in heat pump heating. Performed non-invasive refrigerant test by testing refrigerant temperatures. Gas line temperature of 123F is within spec. Outdoor ambient temp of 35F and gas line should be 80-100F above outdoor temperature. No issues suspected with refrigerant. Tested operation of electric strip heat. All stips come on as should and operate within Amp draw specs. Blower motor is operating properly. Cleaned air filter and replaced tape to cover filter slot. No issues found or suspected with equipment. System is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter.
Remove 4” vent pipe and replace with new pipe due to rust and rot causing vent to separate and leak exhaust gases into basement. Temporarily taped for safety reasons
Unit is satisfying demand and not throwing any codes.
Preventative maintenence inspection on Carrier high efficiency furnace running in great condition. 20x25x4 air filter is new today. Humidifier pad in good condition and damper opened. Confirmed water is on. Humidifier is operating properly. On furnace, clean flame sensor and check ignitor. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Run test unit in heating mode. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested good. Pvc flue vents in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. Furnace is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter. Humidifier is operating properly. Humidity level issues are a combination of low outdoor temperature and being supplied with cold water. Due to lower cold water temperature, the Humidifier is not able to evaporate a sufficient amount compared to using hot water. System is supplied with cold water as water supply valve being used was installed by plumbers during construction. I
Upon arrival inspected system and found gas valve getting power but not opening. Tapped on valve and valve opened up on second try. Quoted replacement valve and replace upon approval. Install union after shut off due to it being missing and having to shut off main house, gas line. Test Ron, furnace and unit cycled no problem after.
Upon arrival, David mentioned a clicking noise coming from the furnace. Inspection shows that blower wheel blades has loosened from the center wheel. Blower wheel blades are skipping on the center wheel causing the noise. Blower wheel will need replaced. Performed cleaning portion of preventative maintenence inspection. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Replace #35 water panel in humidifier and set water flow. 20x25x4 air filter in decent condition. Check again in 1-2 months. Test unit in heating mode from thermostat. Did not check temperature rise as an accurate reading is not possible with current faulty blower wheel.
Diagnosed failed gas valve 24V present at MV terminal, valve clicks but no gas flows
