Seth and Gary arrived on time, were neat and thorough in cleaning the entire furnace assembly, including A/C coil, blower etc. Furnace was very dirty. Now sounds better and should run more efficiently. Very happy with their level of knowledge and understanding of what it took to improve furnace efficiency.

Upon arrival inspected unit and found dirty burners clogging and not establishing flame on all 4 burners. Informed homeowner of issue and likelihood of problem reoccurring without repair measures, homeowner was interested in upgrading burners to stainless steel to prevent future problems pertaining establishing flame. Replaced 4 burners with stainless steel burners and test run furnace. Cleaned flame sensor as well while things were apart, and sealed every hole on furnace burner cabinet to prevent dust from homeowners woodworking shop in furnace room from damaging components internally. No issues as of now. Filter merv rating is higher than usual - I would recommend no higher than merv 10 but it is fully optional
Part# 74w59 in stock PO- SW9890glasglow Remove and replace inducer motor under manufacture warranty. Test run furnace and verify operation. Homeowner was concerned about popping noises with water heater previous visit, noticed more noises today and advised to consult a plumber due to risk of failure and being without warm water when one heater is down. Furnace is heating perfectly fine with new motor. Unit is in good shape at this time.

Upon arrival, Rick had the furnace already in heating mode to recreate specific situation where strange scent is detected. Upon opening the basment door and taking a step inside, there was a distinct scent change but it smelled more like laundry scents rather than burning plastic. Scent was vaguely detectable near furnace and water heater. Unable to pinpoint scent. While on site, used combustiin analyzer to test first floor vent, basment vent at bottom of stairs, and areas surround furnace for any Carbon Monoxide. 0PPM CO det3cted during and testing. Inspected blower motor, blower compartment, inducer motor, and combustion compartment for anything that could create a burning or strange chemical smell. No issues were found during inspections and testing. Suspect that the scent is something to do with the laundry area being near the basment steps and furnace. If it has not been done recently or checked recently, recommend having the dryer vent checked and/or cleaned to ensure dryer vent

Upon arrival, inspected furnace and found no major concerns. Discussed with homeowner and requested for more information from previous visit. Photos shown to me resembled the burner compartment and the pinch welds of the factory heat exchanger. Nothing concerning was seen. Homeowner was still interested in further inspection and requested a combustion analysis be performed. Performed combustion analysis and found no concerns with combustion process, unit is only making 24 ppm COAF and 12 ppm CO on high fire. Unit is of great health for age being 22 years old. Recommend no changes unit is of good health.
