Control board has failed and is not outputting a signal to the Y terminal for compressor operation. Confirmed control board issue with Waterfurnace. Control board will be ordered and will call to schedule repair once parts are in hand.
Upon arrival, system was in the off mode with fan on. Attatched pressure and temperature guages to perform an operation test. During heat pump operation testing, found that the heap pump is operating properly and refrigerant pressures and temperatures are within spec based on third party measurequick testing application. Jodi says that there has been no refrigerant added to her knowledge. Based on the operation measurements of the refrigerant and air temperature rise, the system is within refrigerant specifications and there is no leak search that needs to be performed. Tested operation of auxiliary heat strips and found no issues. Found that the thermostat heat pump lockout was set to 35F. With an all electric system, disabling the heat pump lockout temperature is recommended as the heat pump is still producing heat at those temperatures and the system is designed to run the auxiliary heat as needed to boost heat content, aswell as run the auxiliary during defrost mode which can happe
Inspection of all electrical systems. Could not recreate issue of heating stuck on while on site. Suspect it could be a bad control board with intermittent relay sticking. Will prepare a quote for control board replacement.
Replace failed ABC control board with new oem ABC board and test run operation. No other issues found or suspected during testing.
Replace Waterfurnace HWG desuperheater coax coil. Part is covered under Waterfurnace Parts warranty. Labor and refrigerant is not. Remove and replace failed desuperheater water coil. Installed new ABC board aswell and preformed test run. Refrigerant pressures are within spec. No other issues found or suspected.
Replace ECM blower motor with universal motor Converted from constant airflow to constant torque motor Blower was intermittently starting and stopping Couldn't determine if it was the board or the motor causing the issue. Switching to constant torque eliminated both possibilities
