Service recall Furnace board showing e01 fault (pressure switch failure to close) Inducer never runs Measured 0V to the inducer Noted board making a funny sound, too Swapped with a new board Inducer now runs Found igniter broken off New board kit includes an igniter Replaced the igniter Furnace operating normally at this time
Upon arrival, inspected system and found inducer motor is non-operable. Control board throwing code 3 inducer motor error. Inducer motor has zero resistance, spins freely, but will not turn on. Called train and motor is available but extremely expensive being an ECM inducer. Recommend replacement over repair due to repair repair costs, quote for repair and quote number are in estimates in case replacement is not the route taken.
Performed heating maintenance on a 2001 Trane 78% efficient single stage natural gas furnace 16x25x1 filter is OK, **will need changed in another month or so** Pulled and clesned flame sensor Blower wheel is not the cleanest, but considering age, do not feel it is worth pursuing cleaning it Cleared pressure switch port Run tested furnace Gas pressure is 3.5"wc Combustion test numbers are in a healthy range 0ppm carbon monoxide in the ductwork Temperature rise 56⁰ Despite age, furnace is running OK and safe at this time.
Upon arrival inspected unit and found mouse nest in intake and burner compartment. Unit not running due to pressure switch error. Vacuum nest and remains from pipe and burner compartment and test run heating on propane and heat pump, verify proper operation for both functions. Unit is heating great at this time
Install replacement OEM Trane variable speed blower motor. Test run operation in fan only and geothermal heating stage 2 for multiple speed test.
Discussed issue over the phone. Everything he's describing is a setting issue with the thermostat. He will play with the settings and call us back Monday if needed.

Performed heating maintenance on a 2024 Daikin 97% efficient modulating natural gas furnace Replaced aprilaire 210 filter with one from truck stock Pulled and cleaned flame sensor Condensate trap is clean Blower is clean Run tested furnace Low fire Temperature rise 30⁰ (spec 20-50) High fire Temperature rise 46⁰ (spec 25-55) No stored faults other than thermostat reboots (software updates and power resets cause these) Furnace is operating perfectly within manufacturer's specifications at this time No concerns found on today's visit
Performed heating maintenance on a 2017 Goodman single stage 96% efficient natural gas furnace Corrected some drain tubing issues from new construction install inside the furnace (tubing cut incorrect length and kinked) Corrected hose clamps issues on the inducer outlet elbow that had signs of water leakage 20x25x1 Filter is still good, left the one we provide with the gold maintenance plan on top of the filter rack Blower wheel is clean Blower capacitor measured 19.8mfd Pulled condensate trap and flushed with water (had lots of debris buildup) Pulled flame sensor and cleaned with steel wool Run tested furnace Burner gas Manifold pressure set to 3.5"wc Temperature rise is a steady 50⁰ Furnace is in good shape and operating within manufacturer's specifications at this time
Initial test run of furnace shows that when there is a call for heat, the inducer motor kicks on, after a few seconds, the igniter glows, but only for a second before the control board "resets." Igniter turns off and inducer motor shuts off for a few seconds before coming on again. Initialy thought it was a bad igniter, so tested a new igniter with no change in sequence of operation. During initial testing also noticed that the gas valve did not seem to come on. Tested for 24v at gas valve during start up. During test with gas valve unplugged, there was 24v present when gas valve should be opened. Noticed that with gas valve unplugged, the control board did not "reset," but showed a code for no flame present. Tested wiring with new gas valve in hand. During fire off, the new gas valve received the 24v call and opened as it should. This confirms the gas valve has an internal electrical malfunction and must be replaced. Replaced faulty gas valve with new gas valve. Sealed all joints that
