Concern of thermostat overshooting Replaced thermostat under 5yr Honeywell warranty Westin Air labor warranty expired August 24th Setup thermostat for 2 stage heating and cooling
Preventative maintenence inspection on Carrier high efficiency gas furnace running in great condition. 20x25x4 air filter in good condition. #35 humidifier pad in new condition. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Run test unit in gas heating mode. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested good. Pvc flue vents in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. Humidifier tested for proper operation. Checked geothermal heating and erased codes stored in system. Only codes present are normal operation codes for hot water generation and system resets. No issues found or suspected with gas furnace, geothermal unit, and humidifier. Due to high a,outstanding of dust and frequent filter changes being required, it is recommended to have the ducts cleaned. Since ducts have not been cleaned and system was operational during construction, there is most likely an excessive amou
West side unit: low gas pressure safety tripped Bled air from gas line Reset unit, firing heat normally at this time East side unit: low gas pressure safety tripped Bled air from gas line Air pressure switch not closing due to clogged filters Installed normal 20x25x2 filters in it Unit heating normally at this time **we recommend standard flat panel (non-pleated) throw away 20x25x2 filters** Also recommend modifying ductwork so it pulls from outside air and not from the new building addition. Currently, this unit is pulling air from the new addition.
Furnace had a tripped rollout safety Checked for blocked venting outside Ran combustion test, very high CO going out the exhaust Gas pressure verified to be correct Will reschedule asap to replace the heat exchanger
Performed maintenance on the 4 working unite Replaced all filters: (4) 20x20x2 20x25x2 (2) 16x25x1 Cleaned flame sensors Checked capacitors Ran combustion test on the old unit (passed for healthy heat exchanger) Checked blowers Blower belt OK on big unit out back No water leaks present Blower wheels in good condition No concerns found at this time
Performed heating maintenance on two basement furnaces 2023 Payne single stage 95% efficient 120kbtu Replaced 20x25x4 filter Cleaned flame sensor Found condensate trap gasket leaking inside the furnace Replaced trap gasket and flushed trap with water Furnace cycling on high limit due to insufficient return duct tied into the furnace Compensated with reducing gas pressure down to 3.0"wc and increasing blower speed to max Furnace is no longer overheating 2011 Lennox single stage 93% furnace Cleared condensate lines inside the furnace Trap is clear Replaced 20x25x4 filter Cleaned flame sensor This furnace is operating within specs without any adjustments today
Upon arrival, inspected system and found unit in a code 3 inspected furnace intake and found leaves blocking intake cleared leaves from intake and started system. System started up and began heating no problem.
Cleared pressure switch port on QC area furnace Operating normally at this time
Upon arrival inspected system and found control board was faulty killing 24v to system. Tested stat and transformer both tested good board is source problem drawing power down. Replace control board and test run unit. System is heating just fine post repairs.
Pressure switch code 3 for pressure switch did not close or reopened. Found damaged pressure switch tubing. Tube was worn down and damaged by inducer motor. Replaced with techs personal pressure switch tubing and test ran operation. No other issues found or suspected while on site. New pressure switch tuning has a tight connection on inducer housing and should be monitored or proactively changed in case the hose tears or rips off.
Loose connection on low stage pressure switch causing system to lock out in pressure switch code. Tested induced draft at pressure switch amd confirmed proper vacuum to close switch. Confirmed no blockages in flue. Test ran system in both heating stages with no issues. Confirmed proper condensation drainage that rules out clogged drain trap. No other issues at this time but having a system maintenance to check and clean other things is recommended.
Performed heating maintenance on a Trane variable speed geothermal heat pump (WaterFurnace Series 7) Air filter still in good shape Replaced humidifier water panel (#35) and opened bypass damper Air coil in good shape, no need for cleaning Blower wheel in good condition Auxiliary heater wiring shows no signs of overheating or corrosion Tested humdifier operation, operating properly and no water leaks at this time At compressor speed 11, system producing 19⁰ temperature rise (71⁰ return, 90⁰ supply) Ground loop 32.5⁰ inlet, 27⁰ outlet Waterflow sensor failed Flow center pump 1.4A Inverter drive 9.6A Compressor section power supply wiring in good shape, no corrosion or signs of overheating No concerns found on today's visit other than waterflow sensor. Sensor does not affect operation or efficiency of the system
Diagnosed failing outdoor fan motor Will call parts supplier in the morning for warranty status and parts availability
Pool hall heat pump extremely low on refrigerant Auxiliary heaters are also non-functional Compressor sounds like a bucket of bolts and the oil smells like there is definitely a mechanical issue System also has no provisions for air filters anywhere Need to discuss with Dan the situation before moving forward. Left the power off to prevent further damage
Diagnosed weak pressure switch It is rated 0.65"wc, actual pressure across it was 1.1" Tapping on it would get it to close Got a universal pressure switch from truck stock Set it up for 0.65"wc closing pressure, it opens at 0.61"wc Verified numerous times the new pressure switch closes exactly at 0.65", won't close at 0.64" Moved factory port restrictors to the new switch Installed new pressure switch into the furnace Cycled furnace numerous times Furnace is operating normally at this time. Pan under the furnace is holding water, but everything inside and around the furnace is dry Filter shows no signs of water damage Saddle valve for the humidifier was leaking. Shut the water off to it Leak appears to have stopped
