Installation of new LED By-Pass tubes eliminating current ballast style fixtures and re-using current installed housing located in garage. Two by-pass per fixture. We were called out today to look at a pair of fluorescent lights in the garage that were not working. While on site, we performed our performance and safety assessment of the electrical panel and discovered that there were tandems breakers in the rightmost panel that were not rated for the panel. These breakers were loose in the panel and showed evidence of arcing on the busbar. We gave a solution to install a subpanel to eliminate these tandem breakers in the main panel and move the affected circuits to a subpanel to properly rated breakers. We gave a solution to retrofit the three garage lights with LED bypass tubes. While installing the tubes, we discovered that one of the lights was too short to use the tubes that are supposed to go in the fixture, which we replaced with a keyless fixture.
