Replace 240v 30 amp receptacle with a 30 amp 120 V receptacle. Disconnect 240 V line in case panel in garage next to receptacle and convert to 120 V The reason for today’s visit was to convert an old 30 amp 240 volt receptacle over to a 30 amp 120v receptacle for RV. The condition of the wire as well as the main panel in the pipe running to the receptacle we’re all in excellent condition. We installed a new receptacle and raise the box up roughly 3 foot for easier access for the customer. We removed the two pole 30 amp breaker and install a new single 30 as well as a spare 15 amp to fill the unused space. Once installed we tested power and everything is working properly.
